In June 2024, Pakistan Cricket Board introduces a new domestic Twenty20 Cricket event, called Champions T20 Cup. that forms part of the Pakistan domestic cricket season. The league was aimed to make up for the absence of high-profile matches in Pakistan every year and to expose talented players from Country. [6] [7]

The history of cricket in Pakistan predates the creation of the country in 1947. The first international cricket match in what is now Pakistan today was held in Karachi on 22 November 1935 between Sindh and Australia. The match was seen by 5,000 Karachiites. Cricket was introduced by the British during their colonial rule of British India, which covered the area now known as Pakistan. Cricket is the most popular sport in the country. The Pakistan Cricket Board controls all domestic cricket in Pakistan and the national teams. Pakistan is an official member of the International Cricket Council and the Asian Cricket Council. Regarded as one of the best and most passionate cricketing nations, Pakistan has won the Cricket World Cup in 1992, ICC T20 World Cup in 2009, the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017, the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup in 2004 and 2006, the ACC Asia Cup in 2000 and 2012. Pakistan were runner ups in the 1999 Cricket World Cup and 2007 and 2022 T20 World Cups. Pakistan have also been runner ups in several Asia Cup editions.
The National T20 Cup is a men's professional domestic Twenty20 cricket competition in Pakistan. Established in 2005, it is one of the world's oldest Twenty20 cricket leagues. It was the principal T20 competition in the country until 2016, when the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise tournament was introduced. Since 2019–20, the National T20 Cup has been contested by six regional teams, having previously been contested mainly by teams representing the various city, district and area cricket associations.
Lahore Lions was a Pakistani franchise cricket team representing the city of Lahore and was one of the 19 domestic teams. The team was established by Lahore Regional Cricket Association in 2004/05 in its home ground Lahore City Cricket Association Ground. Domestically, the team played in the Haier T20 Cup. The team won its first title in 2010 where they defeated Karachi Dolphins by 37 runs at their home ground, Gaddafi Stadium.

The 2012–13 Faysal Bank T20 Cup was the ninth season of the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan, which was held from 1 to 9 December 2012. The winning team received Rs 20 million as prize money while the runners-up received Rs 10 million. This was also the last edition of the tournament, which was replaced with the Pakistan Super League.

In Pakistan Super League, he has previously played for Karachi Kings, Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators and he will now represent Multan Sultans during HBL PSL Season 9. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in November 2015.
The 2018–19 National T20 Cup was a Twenty20 domestic cricket competition that was played in Pakistan. It was the fifteenth season of the National T20 Cup in Pakistan, and was held from 10 to 25 December 2018 in Multan. Eight teams took part, with the top four progressing to the semi-finals. Lahore Blues were the defending champions.
Southern Punjab cricket team was a domestic cricket team in Pakistan representing the southern parts of the Punjab province. It competed in domestic first-class, List A and T20 cricket competitions, namely the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, Pakistan Cup and National T20 Cup. The team was operated by the Southern Punjab Cricket Association.
The 2020–21 National T20 Cup was a Twenty20 domestic cricket competition that was played in Pakistan. It was the 17th season of the National T20 Cup, and started on 30 September 2020, and finished on 18 October 2020. Northern cricket team were the defending champions. The season featured an expanded format, with the number of matches increasing from 18 to 33. In July 2020, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced that the tournament would be held either in Multan or Rawalpindi. In August 2020, it was confirmed that the first leg will be played in Multan, and the final leg in Rawalpindi.
The PCB Women's Twenty20 Tournament, previously the National Triangular T20 Women's Cricket Championship, is a women's domestic Twenty20 competition organised by the Pakistan Cricket Board. The tournament first took place in 2019–20, with three teams taking part: PCB Blasters, PCB Challengers and PCB Dynamites. The tournament expanded to four teams in 2022–23, with the addition of PCB Strikers. The competition has run alongside the PCB Triangular One Day Women's Tournament.
PCB Blasters are a Pakistani women's cricket team that compete in the Pakistan Women's One Day Cup and the PCB Women's Twenty20 Tournament. The team has no geographical base, instead being made up of some of the best players from across Pakistan. They are captained by Fatima Sana and coached by Mohtashim Rasheed. They have won one one-day tournament, in 2019–20, and one Twenty20 tournament, in 2022–23.
PCB Challengers are a Pakistani women's cricket team that compete in the Pakistan Women's One Day Cup and the PCB Women's Twenty20 Tournament. The team has no geographical base, instead being made up of some of the best players from across Pakistan. They are captained by Omaima Sohail and coached by Azam Khan. They won the first two Women's Twenty20 Tournaments, and the most recent One Day Cup.
The 2024–25 Champions T20 Cup is the inaugural edition of the Champions T20 Cup, a Twenty20 competition in Pakistan. The tournament began on 7 December 2024 and the final will be held on 25 December 2024. Five teams take part in the tournament.
