Up to 450 Pakistanis work in Brunei, [2] of these there are around 70 Pakistani medical doctors working in various healthcare departments of Brunei. [3] Adding up the spouses and children of these Pakistani workers in Brunei, makes up the total population of Pakistanis in Brunei to be about 1500. [4]

Pakistan Higher Education Commission is also coordinating to send Pakistani students to study at Brunei universities, under a government of Brunei scheme of offering scholarship to students from Organisation of Islamic Cooperation member countries. Brunei, officially the Nation of Brunei, the Abode of Peace, is a country located on the north coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. He has been awarded four time top Iranian National Sheikhbahai Entrepreneurship Award from 2013-2016.He also has been awarded as the Young Entrepreneur of Iran by Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Iran in 2018.

There are hundreds of Pakistanis in Indonesia, mainly of Punjabi origin, who work in various textile and rice production industries. Statistics from the Overseas Pakistanis Foundation in 2004 outlined as many as 400 although numbers have grown; roughly 100 Pakistani families reside in Jakarta and another 300 in other cities. Additionally, there is a large second and third generation of individuals, originally descendants of Pakistani soldiers who came to fight in 1945 as part of the British Indian Army alongside the Indonesian military against the Axis forces and the Japanese.

The history of Pakistanis in Thailand is based much before the independence when hundreds of people from regions of current-day Pakistan left for Thailand, then known as Siam. There are thousands of Thai nationals of Pakistani origin, along with some three thousand people with Pakistani nationality in Thailand. Most are concentrated in and around areas of Bangkok. Along with Indians, they are part of the much larger South Asian community in the country.

Pakistanis in Egypt consist of migrants and expatriates from Pakistan in Egypt and their descendants. In 2004, the population was estimated at 500, which rose to 700 by 2011. The community is mostly made up of recently settled families; the Pakistan International School of Cairo was established in 1981 and largely caters to Pakistani students.

  2. From the outset the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has collaborated in the investigation, jointly and in coordination with the staff of the Ministry of Interior, the Investigation Police and the National Intelligence Agency (ANI).
  3. In that context, on November 15, the Chief of the Immigration Department of the Consular Directorate General moved to Islamabad, Pakistan, to preliminary inspect and investigate the reported facts and verify in situ the operation of the Chilean Honorary Consulate in that city.
  4. The Honorary Consul of Chile in Islamabad, Catalina Alliende, has collaborated to clarify this investigation. In fact, she alerted the Investigative Police at the end of July this year of the first history of visa misrepresentation.
  5. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed the Honorary Consul to reinforce the security measures at the Consulate, as well as the change of procedure for the granting of visas, which although they will continue to be requested in Pakistan, will be delivered to the Airport Santiago International, with prior authorization from the Ministry of Interior as is the usual procedure. Pakistan has also closed its embassy at Santiago recently.

South Korea has one of the largest Pakistani diaspora community in Asia, numbering 7,000 according to 2004/05 Pakistani government figures, or 10,423 according to 2013 South Korean government figures. South Korea also remains a popular education destination for many Pakistanis. Apart from hundreds of self-funded Pakistani students studying in South Korean universities, Pakistan Higher Education Commission has also been sending hundreds of Pakistani students to study for MS and PhD degrees in South Korea. There were 1,420 Pakistanis who have married Korean women between 2001-2010 and settled permanently in South Korea. Pakistanis make a large representation of South Korea's Muslim community.

Diabetes is the third highest cause of death in Brunei after cancer and heart disease. The rate of suicide has not been investigated, according to Dr Hilda Ho, as a taboo subject.

Hassanal Bolkiah Sultan of Brunei

Hassanal Bolkiah is the 29th and current Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Brunei, as well as the Prime Minister of Brunei, making him one of the last absolute monarchs. The eldest son of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III and Raja Isteri (Queen) Pengiran Anak Damit, he succeeded to the throne as the Sultan of Brunei, following the abdication of his father on 5 October 1967.
