Potter wasps, the Eumeninae, are a cosmopolitan wasp group presently treated as a subfamily of Vespidae, but sometimes recognized in the past as a separate family, Eumenidae.

Plagiolabra is a neotropical genus of potter wasps currently containing 2 species found in the Gran Chaco biogeographical province of central South America, in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.

Leptochilus (wasp) Genus of wasps

Leptochilus is a large, mostly Holarctic genus of small sized potter wasps. The genus reaches its largest diversity in the Palearctic where there are more than 135 species belonging to 5 subgenera. However the division of The division of Leptochilus into subgenera can not be fully supported and the status of some of them is dubious.

Hypalastoroides is a neotropical genus of potter wasps with a few nearctic and andean species. It differs from other New World genera by having a petiolate second submarginal cell. The genus contains the following subgenera and species:

Zethus (wasp) Genus of wasps

Zethus is a very large, mainly neotropical genus of potter wasps with some species representation also in the Nearctic, Afrotropical, Australian and Indomalayan regions.

Pachodynerus is a fairly large neotropical and nearctic genus of potter wasps with higher diversity in central South America. At least one species has been introduced in other biogeographical regions, including several oceanic islands, while Pachodynerus erynnis occurs on Ascension Island as well as in North America. This genus is most closely related to the genus Euodynerus.

Delta (wasp) Genus of wasps

Delta is an Old World genus of potter wasps with species predominantly distributed through tropical Africa and Asia. Some species are present in the Palearctic region, and a few have been introduced in the Nearctic and Neotropical regions. The members of this genus have a long metasomal petiole, like members of the genera Eumenes and Zeta.

Symmorphus Genus of wasps

Symmorphus is a primarily holarctic genus of potter wasps.within the family Vespidae.

Maricopodynerus is a Nearctic genus of potter wasps distributed west of the 100° western meridian in the United States and Mexico. The second metasomal segment, with its tergum much larger than its sternum is an outstanding characteristic of this genus.

Postepipona is an Afrotropical genus of potter wasps containing two species, one from Madagascar and the other from island of Socotra in Yemen.

Parancistrocerus Genus of wasps

Parancistrocerus is a rather large genus of potter wasps whose distribution spans the Nearctic, eastern Palearctic, Oriental and Neotropical regions. A pair of medial pits on the anterior face of the pronotum and the expansion of the tegulae put this genus close to the genus Stenodynerus and many species of both genera are somewhat difficult to assignate to their respective genus.

Knemodynerus is a genus of potter wasps distributed through the Palearctic, Afrotropical, Indomalayan and Australasian regions. The species currently classified in the genus are:

Leucodynerus is a Nearctic genus of small sized potter wasps distributed in south western United States and northern Mexico.

Gastrodynerus is a small south-western nearctic genus of potter wasps with four currently recognized species, all of them found in Mexico. Gastrodynerus vanduzeei is also found in the United States.

Leptochiloides is a small nearctic genus of potter wasps known from dry areas in South-Western North America. They have some structural similarities with members of the genus Pterocheilus, including the pilose labial palpi.

Gymnomerus is a monotypic Palearctic genus of potter wasps. The sole species is Gymnomerus laevipes.

Paragymnomerus is a palearctic genus of potter wasps.

Pseumenes Genus of wasps

Pseumenes is an Indomalayan, Australian and Palearctic genus of potter wasps.
