Part 1 is an extended play by Australian pop singer Guy Sebastian, released on 2 December 2016.
Sebastian released his seventh studio album Madness in November 2014. In May 2015, Sebastian competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in Vienna; coming fifth. Following this, Sebastian undertook a song-writing journey. Sebastian said; “I wrote songs for 18 months and ended up pretty much scrapping it all, because it took that long just to figure out what I don’t want to do.” He created playlists on streaming services, which assisted him discover the production he wanted adding “Once I clicked into the sound I wanted, it was much easier.” [2]
The EP’s theme stems from a focus on love and celebrating the important things in life like his career, relationships and family and follows on from the lead single "Set In Stone" - a song dedicated to his wife, Jules. [3]
Kathy McCabe from news.com.au described the EP as "an eclectic collection of six songs which run the gamut of garage-flavoured R&B to electronic pop but all have two things in common, his distinctive voice and his muse Jules." adding "Sebastian has never been this personal in his lyrics... which all reassure his partner and mother of their two sons Hudson and Archer that she is the centre of his universe." Guy Theodore Sebastian is an Australian singer and songwriter who was the winner of the first Australian Idol in 2003, judge on Australia's The X Factor from 2010 to 2012 and again from 2015 to 2016, and coach on The Voice Australia since 2019. He represented Australia at the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing in fifth place.

Several contestants were signed to record labels, while others released their music independently. The first season of Australian Idol was produced by Fremantle Media subsidiary Grundy Television in association with UK company 19TV, and was broadcast on Network Ten for 19 weeks in the latter half of 2003. The judges were Mark Holden, Marcia Hines and Ian "Dicko" Dickson.
Stan Walker is an Australian-born New Zealand singer, actor, and television personality. In 2009, Walker was the winner of the seventh and last season of Australian Idol. He subsequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia. In December 2009, Walker released his debut studio album, Introducing Stan Walker, which included the hit single, "Black Box". The album debuted at number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart and was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). It also appeared on the New Zealand Albums Chart at number two and was certified triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of New Zealand (RIANZ).
"Like It Like That" is the title track and first single from Australian pop, R&B and soul singer-songwriter Guy Sebastian's fifth album Like It Like That. It was co-written by Sebastian, David Ryan Harris and Sean Hurley. "Like It Like That" was released on 13 August 2009 and peaked at number one on the ARIA singles chart. It was Sebastian's fourth of six number one singles and fifth of 12 top ten singles in Australia. It was the highest selling Australian artist single and sixth highest selling single overall in Australia in 2009. It received a 2010 ARIA Music Award nomination for Most Popular Australian Single. In 2014 the song reached 4× platinum certification. "Like It Like That" also charted in New Zealand in 2011, peaking at number 30 and gaining gold certification there.
Like It Like That is the fifth album by Australian singer Guy Sebastian. The album was produced by David Ryan Harris and Fredrik Odesjo and was released in Australia on 23 October 2009 and in the US on 29 June 2010. The album contains a duet with Jordin Sparks, and also three tracks with John Mayer on guitar and backing vocals. It peaked at number six on the ARIA Albums Chart and gained platinum certification. The album was released in Australia on 19 November 2010 and reached number four on the ARIA Album Chart, Sebastian's sixth consecutive top ten album. It was certified platinum in its fourth week of release and was the fifth highest selling Australian artist album of 2010. It reached 2× platinum certification in 2014. "Who's That Girl" reached number one on the ARIA Singles Chart and achieved 5× platinum certification, and was Sebastian's fifth of six number one singles in Australia. It won the Highest Selling Single ARIA Award in 2011, and received nominations for Single of the Year and Best Pop Release. Sebastian was also nominated as Most Popular Australian Artist. "Who's That Girl" also reached number one and Platinum certification in New Zealand.
Reece Mastin is an English-born Australian singer and songwriter who won the third season of The X Factor Australia in 2011. Mastin subsequently signed with Sony Music Australia. His debut single "Good Night" reached number one in Australia and New Zealand, and became Sony Music Australia's fastest-selling digital single. Mastin's self-titled debut album debuted at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified double platinum. His second studio album Beautiful Nightmare (2012) included the hit singles "Shut Up & Kiss Me" and "Shout It Out", the latter became Mastin's second number-one single in Australia. "Good Night" and "Shout It Out" earned him two ARIA No. 1 Chart Awards. In 2015, Mastin parted ways with Sony and signed with independent label Social Family Records. His third studio album Change Colours was released in October 2015, and debuted at number 12. In 2018, Reece released a new EP titled Suitcase of Stories under the name MASTIN.

In 2012, Sebastian took part in the 1st season of The Voice Australia and was in Team Seal, but was eliminated in the quarter finals. He returned to The Voice Australia in the 9th season and joined Kelly Rowland's team winning the title in July 2020.
