History

Before producing feature films, the TG Vishwa Prasad has produced short films such as The Big One by Dev Pinn and Forced Orphan by V. N. Aditya. [2] He then founded People Media Factory in 2017, as a part of People Tech Group.

The first feature film produced was Upendra Madhav's MLA (2018), directed by Upendra Madhav. In 2018, the company produced Sashi Kiran Tikka's Goodachari , Vijay Yelakanti's W/O Ram and Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao's Silly Fellows. The company then produced successful medium-budget films like Oh! Baby (2019), Venky Mama (2019) and Raja Raja Chora (2021). In 2021, PMF produced their first television series Kudi Yedamaithe, for the streaming platform Aha.

Karthikeya 2 and Dhamaka, both released in 2022 were their best performing films at the box-office, with the former being the highest grossing film of the company collecting a worldwide gross of ₹121.5 crore. Both films are among the highest grossing Telugu films of the year. [3] In early 2024, Vishwa Prasad has announced that the production house had fifteen projects in different stages of development. [4] The company had a series of box-office failures in 2023 and 2024. [5]

Although they have dubbed multiple of their films into other Indian languages, like Hindi and Tamil, they have only produced two films in the Kannada film industry. However, Vishwa Prasad has announced that he is going to launch four Kannada films in 2025, which is expected to increase PMF's foothold in other industries. [6] [7] In June 2024, the company announced their first Hindi film Jaat, directed by Gopichand Malineni. [8] [9]
