The Devils Island Lighthouse is a lighthouse located on Devils Island, one of the Apostle Islands, in Lake Superior in Ashland County, Wisconsin, near the city of Bayfield. Among the Apostle Islands lighthouses—a testament to its remoteness—it was the last built, and the last automated and unmanned.
The Wisconsin Point Light is a lighthouse located in Superior, on Wisconsin Point, in Douglas County, Wisconsin, United States.
Sand Hills was an active lighthouse on the shore of Lake Superior is on private property and is currently closed to the public. It is located in Ahmeek in Keweenaw County in the Keweenaw Peninsula, which is the northern part of the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. It was listed in the National Register of Historic Places in 1994.
The Menominee North Pier lighthouse is located in the harbor of Menominee, Michigan. The station was first lit in 1877. The current structure and its still operational light was lit in 1927, and automated in 1972. It is also sometimes called the "Menominee (Marinette) North Pierhead Light".
St. Martin Island Light is an exoskeleton lighthouse on St. Martin Island. It marks one of four passages between Lake Michigan and the bay of Green Bay. Constructed in 1905, this light tower is the only example in the US of a pure exoskeletal tower on the Great Lakes. Similar designs exist in Canada. Painted white, the hexagonal tower is made of iron plates which are supported by six exterior steel posts that have latticed buttresses.

Halifax Historic District is a national historic district located at Halifax, Halifax County, North Carolina, US that was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. It includes several buildings that are individually listed on the National Register. Halifax was the site of the signing of the Halifax Resolves on April 12, 1776, a set of resolutions of the North Carolina Provincial Congress which led to the United States Declaration of Independence gaining the support of North Carolina's delegates to the Second Continental Congress in that year.
West Jefferson Historic District is a national historic district located at West Jefferson, Ashe County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 50 contributing buildings in the central business district of West Jefferson. The district primarily includes one-story and two-story commercial buildings dating to the early- to mid-20th century. Notable buildings include the West Jefferson Hotel (1917), Graybeal's Rexall Drugstore Building, Parkway Theater (1939), Dr. Pepper Bottling Company building, First Baptist Church (1929), Benjamin Cornett House, and West Jefferson Depot.
Willard Close Northup (1882–1942) was an American architect in North Carolina who was the principal partner in the firm Northup & O'Brien. His firm was based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Northup began his architectural practice in 1906 and partnered with Leet Alexander O'Brien (1891–1963) in 1915 or 1916. Luther Lashmit joined the firm in 1927, and was lead architect for Graylyn while an employee of the firm.
