The William Aiken House and Associated Railroad Structures make up a National Historic Landmark District in Charleston, South Carolina, that contains structures of South Carolina Canal and Railroad Company and the home of the company's founder, William Aiken. These structures make up one of the largest collection of surviving pre-Civil War railroad depot facilities in the United States. The district was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1963.

The First Colony Inn, also known as LeRoy's Seaside Inn, First Colony Motor Inn, First Colony Apartments, and Colony Beach Inn, is a historic hotel building located at Nags Head, Dare County, North Carolina. It was designed by Willis Leigh and built by Frank Benton It first opened in 1932 as LeRoy's Seaside Inn, by Henry LeRoy of Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The inn is a 2 1/2-story, balloon frame building in the vernacular Shingle Style. The building is divided into three equal sections separated by open breezeways and arranged in an "H"-shaped configuration. Surrounding the building is a two-story engaged verandah.
The Highland Park Manufacturing Company Mill No. 3 is a historic textile mill complex and national historic district located at 2901 N. Davidson St. in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. The district encompasses included five contributing buildings and are the original mill building (1903-1904) and major weaving room addition, Gate House, Dye House, Boiler House, and Waste House (1903-1904). The original mill was designed by Stuart W. Cramer and features a four-story tower capped by fancy corbelling and crenelated parapets.
The Bright Leaf Historic District is a national historic district located at Durham, Durham County, North Carolina. It encompasses 22 contributing buildings and seven contributing structures in an industrial section of Durham. The majority of the buildings were built from the 1870s to the World War II period, and are massive two- to four-story structures, usually rectangular in form with flat or very shallow gable roofs and of fireproof construction with brick exteriors. Notable buildings include the B. L. Duke Warehouse, the Italianate style W. Duke Sons and Company Cigarette Factory (1884), Liggett and Myers Office Building, Chesterfield Building, Flowers Building (1916), Imperial Tobacco Company Factory (1916), White Warehouse (1926), and five Romanesque Revival style buildings built by The American Tobacco Company trust—Walker Warehouse (1897), Cobb Building (1898), O'Brien Building (1899), Hicks Warehouse (1903) and Toms Warehouse (1903).

It was built in 1928, and is a three-story steel frame building faced in orange brick and limestone. It features a tall decorated parapet. The building was erected as a new home for the Conabeer Motor Company, the local Chrysler agency.
Richbourg Motors Building was a historic auto showroom located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a three-story slightly curved building faced in brick. It featured a parapet with brick panels and limestone coping. The building was built for Tench C. Coxe and leased to the Richbourg Motor Company, Asheville's Ford and Lincoln dealer. The building has been demolished.
Sawyer Motor Company Building is a historic automobile showroom and service facility located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. It was built in 1925, and is a four-story, steel frame and reinforced concrete building sheathed in brick. The building is trimmed with cast concrete.
West Asheville–Aycock School Historic District is a national historic district located at Asheville, Buncombe County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 10 contributing buildings in a commercial and institutional section of West Asheville. It includes one and two-story brick civic and commercial buildings, dating from about 1915 to 1936. Their development was influenced by streetcar service along the Haywood Road corridor that operated from 1910 to 1934. Notable buildings include the McGeachy Filling Station, Buckner Building, West Asheville Theater, West Asheville Fire Station (1922), Charles B. Aycock School (1953), West Asheville Bank and Trust Company, West Asheville Post Office, DeLuxe Barber Shop (1927), and Universal Motors (1928).
Dunavant Cotton Manufacturing Company, also known as Alpine Cotton Mill No. 1, is a historic cotton mill located at Morganton, Burke County, North Carolina. It is a two-story, brick-clad, side gable-roofed building. The original section was built in 1888–1910, with additions and expansions through 1966. The additions to the building, made in the mid to late 1960s were removed in 2012 to reveal the original 1888-1910 mill building. It is the oldest cotton textile mill in Morganton, and was in use as a cotton textile mill until 1949.
Durham Hosiery Mills No. 2–Service Printing Company Building was a historic textile mill building located at Durham, Durham County, North Carolina. It was the remaining section of a one-story brick building constructed by the Durham Hosiery Mills Corporation in 1916. The other section was destroyed by a fire in 1979. It featured tall segmental arched windows, heavy exposed curved rafter ends in the eaves, and a monitor roof. After 1947, it housed the Service Printing Company.

They were built between about 1907 and 1952, and most are one- or two-story brick buildings, sometimes with a stuccoed surface. Notable buildings include the Beaux-Arts style former United States Post Office with an addition by Northup and O'Brien, Brown-Rogers-Dixson Company Building (1928), Centenary Church Education Building (1920s), Pure Oil Station, City Market (1925), and Twin City Motor Company (1925).

It encompasses 30 contributing buildings in a mixed commercial and industrial section of Kinston. The district is considered a boundary increase to the previously listed Queen-Gordon Streets Historic District. The buildings include notable examples of Art Deco and Romanesque style architecture and date between 1896 and 1941. Notable buildings include the Carolina Theatre (1935), Cash Supply Store Building, Spence Motor Company Building, and Ellis Carriage Factory (1908-1914).
Joseph Sykes Brothers Company Building is a historic factory building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by Lockwood, Greene & Co. and built in 1926. It is a one-story building that consists of a small office section in the front and a large machine shop to the rear. The building has a brick veneer, steel sash windows, and restrained Classical Revival detailing ornamenting the facade and side. It has undergone a certified rehabilitation. It was built as the Charlotte facility of the Joseph Sykes Brothers Company, an international producer of card clothing, machinery used in cotton production.
Union Storage and Warehouse Company Building is a historic warehouse building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1927, and is a two-story, rectangular, reinforced concrete building on a raised concrete basement. The building has a red brick veneer, steel sash windows, and a parapet facade. The warehouse was purchased by the Ford Motor Company and converted to an auto repair establishment in 1942.
Textile Mill Supply Company Building is a historic factory building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was designed by Lockwood, Greene & Co. and built in 1922. It is a three-story, ten-bay wide by-five-bay deep, red brick structure with a full basement. It has large rectangular windows and pine post-and-beam interior framing. The building housed the Textile Mill Supply Company that sold and distributed supplies essential to the operations of textile mills in the Piedmont sections of the Carolinas.
Burgaw Historic District is a national historic district located at Burgaw, Pender County, North Carolina. The district encompasses 130 contributing buildings, 1 contributing structure, and 1 contributing object in the central business district and surrounding residential sections of Burgaw. The district developed from the mid-19th to mid-20th century, and includes notable examples of Gothic Revival and Queen Anne style architecture. Located in the district are the separately listed Burgaw Depot and Pender County Courthouse. Other notable contributing buildings include the M. M. Moore House, Murphy-Sasser House, Dr. H. B. Thomas House, Burton-Noel House (1917), Burgaw Presbyterian Church, Macedonia African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church, Burgaw Methodist Church (1928), the Burgaw Baptist Church (1948), Bank of Pender (1907), Pender County Jail (1924), and R.H. Holland Motor Company Building (1924).
Herschell–Spillman Motor Company Complex, also known as the Remington Rand, Inc. Complex, is a historic daylight factory complex located at North Tonawanda, Niagara County, New York. The original section was built about 1895 as the powerhouse for the Buffalo and Niagara Falls Electric Railway. Later reinforced concrete and brick factory additions were made for the Herschell Spillman Company in about 1913, 1917, 1920, and 1920–1921. These include a four-story, section and additions made to earlier buildings to raise them to four stories and form an "L"-shaped complex. Also on the property is a five-story water tower. Herschell Spillman occupied the plant until it was sold to Remington Rand in 1925. Remington Rand continued operations at the factory until about 1965. The buildings have been renovated into loft apartments.
