Bothragonus swanii, the rockhead, deep-pitted poacher or deep-pitted sea-poacher, is a fish in the poacher family, Agonidae. It was described by Franz Steindachner in 1876, originally in the genus Hypsagonus. It is found in the eastern Pacific Ocean from Alaska to Carmel Bay, California down to depths of 18 metres. It can also inhabit the intertidal zone. Males can reach a maximum total length of 8.9 centimetres.

The dragon poacher is a fish in the family Agonidae (poachers). It was described by Peter Simon Pallas in 1769, originally under the genus Cottus. It is a marine, deep water-dwelling fish which is known from the northern Pacific Ocean, including the Sea of Japan, the Sea of Okhotsk, and the Bering Sea. It dwells at a depth range of 19 to 750 metres, and inhabits gravel, sand and mud sediments. Males can reach a maximum total length of 42 centimetres (17 in).

Percis matsuii is a fish in the family Agonidae (poachers). It was described by Matsubara in 1936. It is a marine, deep water-dwelling fish which is known from southern Japan, in the northwestern Pacific Ocean. It dwells at a depth range of 200 to 500 metres, and inhabits sand and mud sediments. Males can reach a maximum standard length of 15 centimetres (5.9 in).

Ryukyupercis is a monotypic genus of percomorph fish from the family Pinguipedidae, the sandperches. The only species in the genus, Ryukyupercis gushikeni, the rosy grubfish, is found in the Indo-Pacific from Japan to north western Australia. The generic name is a compound of Ryukyu after the Ryukyu Islands where the type specimen was collected and "percis" a suffix for many of the genera in the Pinguipediae, the specific name honours Mr Soko Gushiken, a who gave the describer of the species, Tetsuo Yoshino, many specimens.
