The album debuted at No. 66 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, [7] with around 6,000 copies sold on its first week of release. It also debuted at No. 22 on the Billboard's Rock Albums chart, [8] and No. 15 on the Alternative Albums charts. [9] The album has sold 28,000 copies in the US as of January 2016. [10]

Peter Joseph Yorn is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. He first gained international recognition after his debut record, Musicforthemorningafter, was released to critical and commercial acclaim in 2001. He is known for playing the bulk of the instruments on his records. Spin magazine, in a career retrospective article dated March 26, 2021, recognized Yorn as one of his generation's best songwriters. Yorn’s 10th full length album, Hawaii, was released on June 17, 2022.
From Under the Cork Tree is the second studio album by the American rock band Fall Out Boy, released on May 3, 2005 through Island Records as the band's major label debut. The music was composed by lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Patrick Stump, with all lyrics penned by bassist Pete Wentz, expanding the band's songwriting approach they took for some songs on their debut album Take This to Your Grave (2003). Neal Avron served as the album's producer. Commenting on the record's lyrical themes, Wentz said the lyrics were about "the anxiety and depression that goes along with looking at your own life."
