The Philippines women's national under-23 volleyball team was the national volleyball team of the Philippines. The country is ranked 28 as of January 2017. Its highest achievement was in 2015 where it placed 7th. It was governed by Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas (LVPI) from 2015 until 2019.
The Philippines was the host country of the first ever Asian Women's U23 Volleyball Championship held in Pasig in 2015. The tournament served as the Asian qualifiers for the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women's U23 World Championship held in Ankara, Turkey which the top two ranked teams qualified for the world championship. The tournament was organized by the Asian Volleyball Confederation, in association with Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. (LVPI), the newly formed national federation for volleyball in the Philippines. [2] The first U-23 team of the Philippines was headed by Alyssa Valdez of Ateneo De Manila University. The team ended in 7th place out of 12 nations.
In May 2019, the FIVB announced that as per the decision of the FIVB Board of Administration, the U23 World Championships had been abolished. Hence, the abolishment of all U23 teams worldwide, while retaining the remaining U18-19 and U20-21 youth teams." [3]

The Asian Volleyball Confederation, commonly known by the acronym AVC, is the continental governing body for the sports of indoor, beach, and grass volleyball in Asia and Oceania. It has 65 member associations, located in the Asia-Pacific region, but excludes four transcontinental countries with territory in both Asia and Europe – Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, and Türkiye – along with Armenia, Cyprus, and Israel, which are members of the CEV.
The Philippines men's national volleyball team represents Philippines in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Philippine National Volleyball Federation since 2021.

Sarina Koga is a Japanese volleyball player who won the bronze medal at the 2013 U23 World Championship with Japan's U23 national team. She also competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in women's volleyball. As of July 2024, Koga is the senior national team captain.
The Philippine Super Liga was a non-professional corporate club women's volleyball league in the Philippines. It was first organized by SportsCore Event Management and Consultancy, Inc. and later owned by Athletic Events & Sports Management Group (ACES), Inc. The league was envisioned to provide former collegiate players a league with which they can continue with their volleyball career.

Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. was the national sport association for volleyball in the Philippines between 2015 and January 2021. It was recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC) and provisionally recognized by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). In 2021, the newly formed Philippine National Volleyball Federation became recognized by the POC, AVC and FIVB as the national sport association for volleyball in the Philippines.

Jose A. "Joey" Romasanta was the 11th president of the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), the country's highest olympic body. He is also the president of Larong Volleyball sa Pilipinas, Inc. Victorico L. Chaves, also known as "Concoy" was a Filipino sportsman and politician. He served as an assistant majority floor leader and representative of the 2nd district of Misamis Oriental for three consecutive terms and also served as the president of the Philippine Amateur Volleyball Association from 1986 to 1995. He is also a co-author of a house bill seeking for the creation of the Philippine Sports Commission enacted into law in 1990.
