Phyllonorycter rongensis is a moth of the family Gracillariidae. It is found in the Albertine Rift valley in Kenya. [1]

The length of the forewings is 2.7 mm. [1] The forewing is elongate and the ground colour is golden ochreous with white markings. [1] The hindwings are narrow, elongate and pointed and the ground colour is pale fuscous. [1] Adults are on wing in early January. [1]

Etymology

The species is named after its type locality, Rongai. [1]
