It is in the Georgetown County School District and has grades 9 to 12. The school was established from a merger between Choppee High School and Pleasant Hill High School and opened in 2000. In 2000 it enrolled nearly 800 students. It serves students from the towns of Pleasant Hill, Plantersville, Hemingway, Lanes Creek, Dunbar, Oatland, St. Luke, Pee Dee, Choppee and Browns Ferry.

Summerton High School, also known as Summerton Middle School, is a historic school building located at Summerton, Clarendon County, South Carolina. It was built in 1936, and is a one-story hip roofed, rectangular brick building. It has a central pavilion featuring a pedimented gable, supported by four cast stone plasters. Summerton High School is the only school still standing of the five schools in Clarendon County School District #22 that were associated with Briggs v. Elliott, the South Carolina case which was one of the cases consolidated with Brown v. Board of Education. As of 2022 the building is used as administrative offices for Clarendon County School District #1.

It consists of a 1908 Classical Revival style school building and auditorium, with an auditorium extension and high school addition built about 1924. It has a raised masonry and concrete foundation and low hipped roof.
Old Market Building, also known as the Rice Museum, is a historic public market building located at Georgetown, Georgetown County, South Carolina. It was built in 1832–1835, and is a one-story, Classical Revival temple-form building on a high arcaded base.
Murrells Inlet Historic District is a national historic district located at Murrells Inlet, Georgetown County, South Carolina. The district encompasses 37 contributing buildings and contains a significant concentration of buildings that visually reflect the transition of the area from adjoining estates of two 19th-century rice planters into a 20th-century resort community. The district contains two antebellum houses, which are local interpretations of the Greek Revival style and a collection of early-20th-century vernacular resort buildings. Residential in character, the historic district contains approximately 19 houses. Although they exhibit some diversity, the prevalent use of wood as a building material, the large screened porches, and the setting of moss-draped trees, marshland, and piers provide a visual unity.
Richmond Hill Plantation Archeological Sites consists of five historic archaeological sites located near Murrells Inlet, Georgetown County, South Carolina. The Richmond Hill Plantation complex sites include remains of the planter's house, two possible overseers' houses, approximately 20 slave houses, a slave cemetery, a rice barn, and rice fields and dikes. The plantation house, overseers' houses, and slave houses were all burned by about 1930. Richmond Hill plantation was owned by Dr. John D. Magill, who was considered one of the least efficient planters in the area and the most brutal slaveowner among the Georgetown District rice planters.
Old Greenwood High School is a historic high school building located at Greenwood, Greenwood County, South Carolina. It was designed by the firm of Wilson, Berryman & Kennedy and built in 1925–1926. It is a complex of three brick buildings – the main building, the auditorium, and the gymnasium – each of which is in the Georgian Revival style and form a Palladian configuration. Each of the three buildings features a portico supported by six Tuscan order columns. The complex was completed with construction of the gymnasium building in 1929–1930.
Grays Consolidated High School was a historic high school located at Grays, Jasper County, South Carolina. It was built in 1927 and rebuilt in 1931. It consisted of three projecting pavilions, with the central pavilion featuring decorative rafter tails, knee braces, and a two-part limestone inlaid plaque. Flanking this were projecting pavilions with hipped roofs. In 1931, the building was expanded with a large classroom wing extension and rear ell. Also on the property is a contributing outbuilding - a brick boiler room/storage room.
Retreat Rosenwald School, also known as the Retreat Colored School, is a historic Rosenwald School located at Westminster, Oconee County, South Carolina.
Willow Consolidated High School, also known as Norway Junior High School and Norway Middle School, is a historic high school building located at Norway, Orangeburg County, South Carolina. It was built in 1926, and is a one-story, "T" shaped brick veneer building with an auditorium located at the rear. It has a gable-on-hip roof with projecting cross gables at the center and ends of the building's façade. Also on the property is a separate frame agriculture building (1940). The school closed in the late 1980s.
Springfield High School is a historic high school complex located at Springfield, Orangeburg County, South Carolina. It was built in 1928–1929, and is a two-story, brick high school building with a projecting central and end pavilions. Also on the property are the contributing gymnasium building (1938) and Springfield Graded School Annex.
