History

Pratidin Time, is a 24-hour Assamese satellite news channel of Assam, India. It launched on 1 April 2015. Pratidin Time is a unit of Yash TV Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. The Channel is a sister concern a media network of Assam, which has the highest circulated weekly newspaper Sadin, highest circulated daily newspaper Asomiya Pratidin, highest circulated women's magazine Nandini.

Assam is a state in northeastern India, south of the eastern Himalayas along the Brahmaputra and Barak River valleys. Assam covers an area of 78,438 km2 (30,285 sq mi). Bhabananda Deka Indian writer

Prof Bhabananda Deka was a pioneer Assam economist and author who conducted novel research on the economy of the far eastern part of India. He was also a leading Indian-Assamese litterateur of the famed 'Awahon-Ramdhenu Era' of Assamese literature during the mid-20th century. He was the author of a total of 115 English and Assamese books including textbooks on a range of fifteen subjects including economics, ancient Assamese literature, philosophy, education, religion, mythology, archaeology, tribal study, poetry, drama, memoirs, civics, political science, biographies; he also edited books and journals. He also authored a variety of research papers and articles about the state of Assam, a state in the north-eastern part of India. He pioneered the writing of books on Economics in Assamese. His Assamese book Axomor Arthaneeti was the first ever research-based comprehensive book on Assam Economics, which was published for the first time in 1963. He was conferred with the honorary title of 'Asom Ratna' -- 'Jewel of Assam' by the intellectuals of Assam on 19 August 2007 at a public meet held under the presidency of Prof. (Dr) Satyendra Narayan Goswami.

Ratnakar: A New Myth of Love is a 2019 Indian Assamese-language action drama and romantic film directed by Jatin Bora and produced by himself and Navanita Sharma under the banner of J.B. Production. The film features Jatin Bora and Barsha Rani Bishaya in lead roles with Nishita Goswami, Pabitra Bora, Chetana Das, Sanjeev Hazarika in supporting roles. The film also features Ashramika Saikia as a child artist. Jatin Bora called it his dream project. The film is inspired by the 2016 Vijay-starring Tamil film Theri.

2021 Assam Legislative Assembly election Indian state election

The 2021 Assam Legislative Assembly election was the 15th quinquennial legislative assembly election held in the Indian state of Assam from March 27 to April 6 in three phases, to elect 126 MLAs to the 15th Assam Legislative Assembly. The votes were counted and the result declared on Sunday, 2 May. The term of the previous Fourteenth Legislative Assembly of Assam ended on 31 May 2021.
