99TV is an Indian free-to-air television channel that provides 24-hour news coverage in Telugu language. 99TV was founded in 2014 and is currently owned by New Waves Media headed by Thota Chandrasekhar, a former IAS officer. [1] [2] [3]
99TV was launched in 2014 as a 24-hour Telugu news channel by the Communist Party of India (CPI). [1] [3] [4] Under CPI, the channel was not profitable and the party wanted to sell off the channel. [1]
On 11 July 2018, 99TV was taken over by New Waves Digital media promoted by Thota Chandrasekhar. [3] [2] [1] [5] Chandrasekhar is a former IAS officer, and owns a real estate company called Aditya Constructions. [3]
As per TRAI's Cable TV Rules which came into force effective 31st January 2019, 99TV is a free-to-air channel. [6]
99TV telecasts political and current affairs with reporting network in both Telugu states. [7] The channel also has programs on business, talk shows, cinema and sports.
The channel was started on INSAT-4A (C-BAND) at 83.0°E. The other down-link parameters of the channel are frequency of 3921 MHz, symbol rate of 13000, and System on DVB -S2/QPSK/MPEG-4. [8]

Pawan Kalyan is an Indian actor, filmmaker, and politician. His films are predominantly in Telugu cinema. Kalyan is the younger brother of actor-ex.politician Chiranjeevi, and made his debut in the 1996 film Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. He starred in Tholi Prema in 1998, which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu that year.
Kushi is a 2001 Indian Telugu-language romantic comedy film written and directed by S. J. Suryah. It is a remake of his own Tamil-language film of the same name, the film stars Pawan Kalyan and Bhumika Chawla. Mani Sharma provided the score and soundtrack.

Cameraman Gangatho Rambabu is a 2012 Indian Telugu-language political action film written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. The film stars Pawan Kalyan, Tamanna, and Gabriela Bertante in lead roles, while Prakash Raj and Kota Srinivasa Rao played supporting roles. Mani Sharma composed the score, Shyam K. Naidu directed the cinematography, and S. R. Shekhar oversaw editing. It was the second collaboration between Kalyan and Jagannadh after Badri (2000). The film was released on 18 October 2012.

10TV is an Indian Telugu-language 24-hour news channel focused on the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was launched on 16 March 2013 with the backing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM). The channel was funded through crowdfunding from various affiliated associations and unions of CPM. It was marketed as an independent channel with a co-operative type ownership, free from the influences of big businesses. In 2018, there was a change in the ownership of the channel. It was reportedly bought by business houses close to some politicians.
