It was launched on 9 February 1995 by the Gemini Group of Hyderabad, in association with Sun TV Network. In 1996-97, Sun TV Network acquired a controlling interest in the channel. The channel's programming consists of serials, films, film-based programs and game shows alongside some reality shows. Gemini TV HD was launched on 11 December 2011.

TV9 Telugu is an Indian Telugu-language 24-hour news channel focusing on the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It formally launched on 1 February 2004 with a 15-day trial run before the formal launch. It is headquartered in Hyderabad. Along with its rival ETV2, it is the oldest 24-hour news channel in Telugu.

Media in Hyderabad is well-developed, and the city is covered by a large network of optical fiber cables. The city's telephone system is serviced by four landline companies: BSNL, Tata Indicom, Reliance and Airtel. There are a number of mobile-phone companies: Aircel, BSNL, Airtel, Hutch Idea Cellular, Uninor, MTS, Virgin Mobile, Tata Indicom, Tata DoCoMo, and Reliance. Several companies offer broadband internet access.

Star Maa is an Indian Telugu language general entertainment pay television channel operated by Disney Star, a subsidiary of Star India. It primarily telecasts programmes such as serials, reality shows and Telugu films.

ETV is an Indian Telugu-language general entertainment pay television channel. The channel was launched on 27 August 1995 focusing on the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is a part of the ETV Network owned by Ramoji Group. It is the second oldest Telugu satellite channel after Gemini TV. It is also one of the earliest private satellite channels in South India.

NTV is an Indian Telugu-language news channel established by Tummala Narendra Choudary on 30 August 2007. The channel is named after the founder Narendra Choudary who also serves as its Chairman while his wife Tummala Rama Devi is the Managing Director. NTV's parent company is Rachana Television Pvt. Ltd (RTPL). RTPL also owns the devotional channel Bhakthi TV and women-focused channel Vanitha TV.

TV5 is an Indian Telugu-language 24-hour news channel. It is launched on 2 October 2007 by Shreya Broadcasting Pvt. Ltd. It is founded by B. R. Naidu of Chittoor. He is also the owner of hair product company, Nuzen Hair oil. Naidu is the chairman, and Bollineni Ravindranath is the Managing Director and Editor-in-Chief of the channel. TV5 is popular for its incisive business reportage.

Viacom18 Media Private Limited is an Indian Media Conglomerate Joint Venture between Bodhi Tree Systems with Network18 Group which is subsidiary of Reliance Industries. Network18 Group is the majority share holderin in the Joint Venture. The company has various channels and content production studios in India.

Star Jalsha is an Indian Bengali language general entertainment pay television channel operated by Disney Star, a subsidiary of Disney India. It primarily broadcasts family dramas, comedies, reality shows and films. It launched its own HD feed on 14 April 2016.

ABN Andhra Jyothy is an Indian Telugu-language 24-hour news channel launched on 15 October 2009. Aamoda Broadcasting Network is the holding company of the channel and is promoted by Vemuri Radhakrishna. The media house also owns the Telugu daily newspaper Andhra Jyothy.

HMTV is an Indian 24-hour Telugu news channel launched on 12 February 2009. The channel is operated by Hyderabad Media Pvt. Ltd, which also runs the English newspaper The Hans India. HMTV is a part of Kapil Group, promoted by K. Vaman Rao. Kapil Group is a business conglomerate of over 30 companies whose first company, Kapil Chit Funds was started in 1981. The current CEO of the channel is Mrs. Lakshmi Rao.

Sakshi TV is an Indian Telugu-language 24-hour news channel. It was launched on 1 March 2009, by Indira Television Ltd. owned by Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. It is currently run under the chairmanship of Y. S. Bharathi Reddy, wife of Jagan Mohan Reddy. The media group also owns the Telugu daily newspaper, Sakshi.

<i>The Hans India</i> English-language newspaper in India

The Hans India is an Indian English-language daily newspaper published in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as well as in New Delhi. The newspaper was started on 15 July 2011 and belongs to Hyderabad Media House Ltd., which also owns Telugu-language news channel HMTV. The chief editor is V. Ramu Sarma.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Nickelodeon (Indian TV channel)</span> Indian counterpart of Nickelodeon

Nickelodeon is an Indian children's pay television channel based in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It is the Indian equivalent of the original American network and is owned by Network18 Group, a joint venture between Paramount Global and TV18. Despite using the "Nickelodeon" branding, it does not air any content from the original channel in recent times as part of a localisation strategy; instead the original Nickelodeon content is only broadcast on the Nickelodeon HD+ channel. As of October 2020, Nickelodeon is the most watched children's channel in India.

Sony PIX is an Indian English language pay television movie channel owned by Culver Max Entertainment. The channel mainly airs American live action and animated Hollywood movies in English with also dubbed in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages.

Tummala Narendra Choudary is an Indian media entrepreneur and businessman who founded the Telugu news channel NTV and first Telugu devotional channel Bhakthi TV. He also serves as the chairman of Rachana Group of Companies which has interests in publishing, infrastructure development, advertising etc.

ETV Andhra Pradesh is an Indian Telugu-language 24-hour news channel focusing on the state of Andhra Pradesh. The channel was launched by the media conglomerate ETV Network owned by Ramoji Group on 28 December 2003 as ETV2. Along with its rival TV9 Telugu, it is the oldest 24-hour news channel in Telugu. In May 2014, after the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the channel was renamed as ETV Andhra Pradesh, while the then recently launched ETV3 channel was renamed as ETV Telangana.
