Presley Sorah (born September 9, 2003) is an American professional stock car racing driver who last competed part-time in the ARCA Menards Series East, driving the No. 12 Toyota for Fast Track Racing and the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 86 Ford for Clubb Racing Inc., and the No. 31 Chevrolet SS for Rise Motorsports.

Racing career

Sorah first started his racing career at the age of ten, driving go-karts. [1]

In 2018, Sorah began participating in the eNASCAR Ignite Series on iRacing. He has most notably competed in the Monday Night Racing Pro Series, where he won the championship in his rookie season in 2022. [1] [2]

In 2023, Sorah competed in the CRA Late Model Sportsman Series and the Ultimate Heart of America Super Late Model Series, where he recorded a best finish of eighth in the former series at Salem Speedway. [1] [3]

In 2024, Sorah participated in the pre-season test for the ARCA Menards Series at Daytona International Speedway, driving the No. 06 Toyota for Wayne Peterson Racing, [4] and placed 74th in the overall results between the two testing days. [5] Two months later, it was announced that Sorah would make his debut in the ARCA Menards Series East at Five Flags Speedway, driving the No. 12 Toyota for Fast Track Racing. [1] [6] [7] [8] After placing thirteenth in the lone practice session, [9] he qualified in fifteenth and finished in fourteenth due to electrical issues. [10] [11] He would return to the car again for the event at Nashville, and running a Darrell Waltrip throwback, would qualify 14th before finishing last in 18th with brake issues. [12] [13]

The 2024 Pensacola 150 was the first stock car race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series East season, and the 5th running of the event. The race was held on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida, a 0.5 mile (0.80 km) permanent asphalt oval shaped short track. The race took the scheduled 150 laps to complete. In a thrilling race that featured an intense battle between Gio Ruggiero and William Sawalich, Ruggiero, driving for Venturini Motorsports, would take the lead from Sawalich on the final restart following the race break, and held him off for the final 70 laps to earn his first career ARCA Menards Series East win. Sawalich, who started on the pole, dominated the first half of the race, leading a race-high 80 laps before losing the lead on the final restart and ultimately finished 2nd. To fill out the podium, Bubba Pollard, driving for Phoenix Racing, would finish 3rd, respectively.
