Jayson Blaine Alexander (born November 13, 2002) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 21 Ford F-150 for Floridian Motorsports and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series and ARCA Menards Series East, driving the Nos. 10/11 Ford Mustang/Toyota Camry for Fast Track Racing.

Racing career

Alexander began his racing career at the age of eighteen, where he served an under an internship from Reaume Brothers Racing, [1] and competed in series such as the Carolina Pro Late Model Series and the Sprint Invaders Series whilst serving as a development driver for Costner Weaver Motorsports. [2]

In 2024, it was announced that Alexander would drive a partial schedule for Fast Track Racing in the ARCA Menards Series. [1] [3] He made his debut in the ARCA Menards Series East race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, driving the No. 10 Toyota, [4] where after placing fourteenth in the lone practice session, [5] he qualified in twelfth and finished one lap down in eighth place. [6] [7] He then ran the following race at Flat Rock Speedway, again driving the No. 10 Toyota, [8] where after placing seventh in the lone practice session, [9] he qualified in tenth and finished four laps down in eighth place. [10] [11] Afterwards, it was then revealed that Alexander would be making his main ARCA Series debut at Charlotte Motor Speedway, this time driving the No. 11 Ford, [12] [13] [14] [15] where after placing twentieth in the lone practice session, [16] he qualified in twentieth but finished in 29th after suffering sway bar issues due to suffering early damage due to a cut tire. [17] [18] [19] Alexander would run the East series combination race at IRP in the No. 10, where he started 23rd and finished 18th. [20] [21] He returned to the No. 10 at Michigan, where he started 19th and finished in 13th. [22] [23]

On August 22, 2024, it was announced that Alexander would attempt to make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at the Milwaukee Mile, driving the No. 21 Ford for Floridian Motorsports. [24] After starting last, he would finish in the same spot, as he would hit the outside wall on lap 48 and retire from the event. [25]

Personal life

Alexander is a Division One Athlete for the Queens University of Charlotte, where he plays in the men's lacrosse team, and is the co-owner of Premier Performance Group, a driver agency he cofounded with Caleb Costner. [26] He is also an ambassador for the Wings and Wheels Foundation. [27]

Alexander currently resides in Apex, North Carolina, [27] and is currently enlisted in the North Carolina Army National Guard. [28]

The 2024 Music City 150 was the 3rd stock car race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series East season, and the 4th iteration of the event. The race was held on Saturday, May 11, 2024, at the Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee, a 0.596 mile (0.959 km) permanent asphalt oval shaped short track. The race took the scheduled 150 laps to complete. William Sawalich, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, would put on a blistering performance, leading all but five laps in the race to earn his fifth career ARCA Menards Series East win, and his first of the season. Pole-sitter Gio Ruggiero led the first four laps of the race, before he spun and hit the wall on lap 6. He continued to race until lap 49, where he pulled into the pits and retired from the race, officially credited with a 14th-place finish. To fill out the podium, Isabella Robusto, driving for Venturini Motorsports, and Connor Zilisch, driving for Pinnacle Racing Group, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

The 2024 General Tire 150 was the 6th stock car race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season, and the 6th iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, a 1.5 mile (2.4 km) permanent asphalt tri-oval shaped intermediate speedway. The race took the scheduled 100 laps to complete. Tanner Gray, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, would recover from a flat tire in the early stages of the race, and held off the field on worn tires to earn his first career ARCA Menards Series win. Carson Kvapil would dominate the majority of the race, leading a race-high 61 laps before finishing 2nd. To fill out the podium, pole-sitter Andrés Pérez de Lara, driving for Rev Racing, would finish 3rd, respectively.
