Mitch Gibson (born April 7, 1988) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 31 Chevrolet for Rise Motorsports.
Gibson began his racing career in 2003, running at various stock car and dirt kart races at local race tracks. It was during this time that Gibson worked for Danny O'Quinn Jr.'s USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series team; Gibson went to the same high school with O'Quinn Jr. [1] After O'Quinn Jr. went on to drive for Roush Racing in the NASCAR Busch Series, Gibson went on to work for Henderson Motorsports. [1] Afterwards, he went on to work for Morgan–McClure Motorsports as a front tire changer for the No. 4 Chevrolet driven by Ward Burton before he was laid off along with twenty other crew members the following year. [1] He has also worked as a tire specialist for ThorSport Racing. [1] It was also during this time where he continued to race sporadically, winning the limited late model championship at Lonesome Pine Speedway in 2022. [1]
In 2024, Gibson participated in pre-season testing for the ARCA Menards Series at Daytona International Speedway driving for Rise Motorsports in the No. 31 Chevrolet, and placed 64th in the overall results between the two testing days. [2] [3] It was also announced that Gibson would attempt to make his debut in the season opening race at Daytona with Rise. [4] [5] [1] After placing 35th in the sole practice session, he ultimately failed to qualify for the race after setting the 47th quickest time in qualifying. [6] [7] Afterwards, it was announced that Gibson would run the No. 31 for Rise at Charlotte Motor Speedway. [8] [9] After placing 26th in the lone practice session, [10] he started in 29th after not setting a time in qualifying and finished in 24th due to a crash late in the race. [11] [12]
Gibson currently resides in Weyers Cave, Virginia, and has three children. Outside of racing, he also works as an EHS manager for the Kerry Group. [13]

The 2024 General Tire 200 was the 3rd stock car race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season, and the 62nd running of the event. The race was held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at Talladega Superspeedway in Lincoln, Alabama, a 2.66 mile (4.28 km) permanent quad-oval shaped asphalt superspeedway. The race took the scheduled 76 laps to complete. Jake Finch, driving for Venturini Motorsports, would find redemption from Daytona, and put on a blistering performance, leading every lap of the race to earn his first career ARCA Menards Series win. It was the first Talladega race in series history where a driver led every lap to win the race. To fill out the podium, Kris Wright, driving for Venturini Motorsports, and Tanner Gray, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, would finish 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

The 2024 General Tire 150 was the 6th stock car race of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series season, and the 6th iteration of the event. The race was held on Friday, May 24, 2024, at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina, a 1.5 mile (2.4 km) permanent asphalt tri-oval shaped intermediate speedway. The race took the scheduled 100 laps to complete. Tanner Gray, driving for Joe Gibbs Racing, would recover from a flat tire in the early stages of the race, and held off the field on worn tires to earn his first career ARCA Menards Series win. Carson Kvapil would dominate the majority of the race, leading a race-high 61 laps before finishing 2nd. To fill out the podium, pole-sitter Andrés Pérez de Lara, driving for Rev Racing, would finish 3rd, respectively.
