Prisons in Pakistan and their administration, is a Provincial competency under the Constitution of Pakistan. [1] Pakistan has the 23rd largest prison population in the world [2] and the 5th largest death row population. [3] Around 64.5% of prisoners are awaiting trial prisoners. 98.6% of prisoners are male, 1.7% are juveniles and 1.2% of those held are foreign citizens. [4] As of 2018 Pakistan had an official occupancy capacity for 56,499 prisoners but held 80,145 prisoners.
The most common and standard jail institutions are Central Jails, District Jails and Sub Jails. The other types of jail establishments are Women Jails, Borstal Schools, and Special Jails.
There are 99 operational prisons with an authorized capacity of 45,210 inmates. [5] [6] According to the Law and Justice Commission of Pakistan there are 80 169 prisoners. [7]

Khyber Pakhtukhwa Prisons inspectorate is an attached department of Home and Tribal Affairs Department. The Inspectorate of Prisons supervises the operation and management of 22 prisons and 5 internment centers. [12] [13]

The National Academy for Prisons Administration is the Federal Government's department for setting the standards of prison staff and is in charge of the training for all the prison staff in every provinces of Pakistan. It operates under Ministry of Interior. The academy is based in Lahore. [15]

The districts of Pakistan are the third-level administrative divisions of Pakistan, below provinces and divisions, but forming the first-tier of local government. In total, there are 166 districts in Pakistan, including the Capital Territory, and the districts of Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan. These districts are further divided into tehsils and union councils.
Larkana is a city located in the Sindh province of Pakistan. It is the 15th largest city of Pakistan by population. It is home to the Indus Valley civilization site Mohenjo-daro. The historic Indus River flows in east and south of the city.
The four provinces, capital territory, and two autonomous territories of Pakistan are subdivided into 38 administrative "divisions", which are further subdivided into districts, tehsils, and finally union councils. These divisions were abolished in 2000, but restored in 2008.

As security in the country improves, tourism increases; in two years, it has increased by more than 300%.
There are five high courts of Pakistan, each based in the capital city of the four provinces, plus one in the federal capital, Islamabad. Articles 192 to 203 of the Constitution of Pakistan outline the constitution of the courts, appointment of the judges, their oath of office, and jurisdiction of the high courts.
The Pal, Paluh, or Palh is a Sindhi Sammat tribe of Sindh province, Pakistan, in parts of Punjab bordering Sindh, also in Balochistan province, and also found in the Rajasthan of India. There is a railway station in Sindh, Hyderabad Badin line named after the name of Palh, Palh railway station.
The Punjab Prisons is a correctional organization, a uniformed service and an attached department of the provincial Home Department in Punjab, Pakistan. The organization works under administrative control of the Additional Chief Secretary Home to Government of the Punjab, Pakistan. Functional head of the organization is Inspector General of Prisons who manages 69 prisons in the province. The organization is responsible for custody, control, care and correction of prisoners confined in various central, district and special jails in the province of Punjab, Pakistan).
