Pruthvi Ambaar is an Indian actor who works in Kannada and Tulu films. He started his career as a radio jockey. His performance in the Kannada film Dia (2020) gained him recognition.

Career

Ambaar started his career as a radio presenter in Mangaluru. [2] In the initial days of his career, he directed and acted in many short films. He was known as RJ Nagaraj. He made his debut entry as an actor in the Tulu film Barke in 2014.[ citation needed ]

In the same year, he had a lead role in the film Pilibail Yamunakka along with Sonal Monteiro, directed by K Sooraj Shetty. It was a hit for the Tulu film industry. Later he acted in many Tulu and Kannada films.[ citation needed ]

Tulu cinema, also known as Coastalwood, is a part of Indian cinema. The Tulu film industry produces five to seven films annually. The first Tulu film was Enna Thangadi released in 1971. Earlier, these films were released in theatres across the Tulu Nadu region. Tulu film industry has grown to such an extent that films are being released simultaneously in Mangalore, Udupi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Middle East. The critically acclaimed Tulu film Suddha won the award for the best Indian Film at the Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema held in New Delhi in 2006. In 2011, the Tulu film Industry got a second lease of life with the release of the film Oriyardori Asal. The film turned out to be the biggest hit in Tulu film history to date. Chaali Polilu is the longest running film in Tulu film industry. This movie is the highest-grossing film in the Tulu film industry. It has successfully completed 470 days at PVR Cinemas in Mangalore.

Sindhu, known by her stage name Sindhu Loknath, is an Indian actress and model who predominantly appears in Kannada cinema. She made her debut in films, with a cameo role in Parichaya (2009). She is recognized for her performances in Lifeu Ishtene (2011), Drama (2012), Case No. 18/9 (2013) and Love in Mandya (2014).

Anuradha Bhat is an Indian playback singer who predominantly works in Kannada language films. She has sung over 100 songs for feature films and also sung in various private musical albums.

Milana Nagaraj is an Indian actress who primarily works in Kannada films. Milana has established herself as one of the leading actresses in Kannada cinema and is a recipient of several accolades including a Filmfare Awards South and two South Indian International Movie Awards.

Dear Dia is a 2022 Indian Hindi-language romantic drama film written and directed by K S Ashoka. A remake of his Kannada film Dia (2020), the film stars Mihika Kushwaha, Pruthvi Ambaar, and Ujjwal Sharma. Hindi version of Dia was produced by Kamlesh Singh Kushwaha. Dear Dia trailer was released on 10 May and film was released on 10 June 2022. Unlike the original, Hindi remake went unnoticed due to poor buzz and promotions.

Sari is a 2023 Indian Marathi-language romantic drama film written and directed by K. S. Ashoka, and produced by Suresh Nagpal and Akash Nagpal. The movie is an official remake of the movie Dia. The film stars Ajinkya Raut, Ritika Shrotri and Pruthvi Ambaar with a music score by B. Ajaneesh Loknath Amitraj and Arijit Chakraborty.
