Psilothrix is a genus of soft-winged flower beetles belonging to the family Melyridae, subfamily Dasytinae.
The genus is divided in the following two subgenera:
The soldier beetles (Cantharidae) are relatively soft-bodied, straight-sided beetles. They are cosmopolitan in distribution. One of the first described species has a color pattern reminiscent of the red coats of early British soldiers, hence the common name. They are also known commonly as leatherwings because of their soft elytra.
Ernst August Hellmuth von Kiesenwetter was a German entomologist who specialised in beetles.
Cantharis is a large genus of soldier beetles in the family Cantharidae with narrow and soft elytra.
Melyridae are a family of beetles of the superfamily Cleroidea.
Anthaxia is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae.
Dicerca is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae. It contains the following species:
Drilus is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Elateridae.
Aplocnemus is an uncommon genus of beetles native to Europe and the British isles belonging to the family Rhadalidae, and formerly in the Melyridae.
Danacea is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Melyridae.
Enicopus is a genus of soft-winged flower beetles belonging to the family Melyridae, subfamily Dasytinae. Species in this genus are present in most of Europe and in the eastern Palearctic realm.
Isomira is a genus of comb-clawed beetles belonging to the family Tenebrionidae.
The Oxytelinae are a subfamily of the Staphylinidae, rove beetles. There are about 20 genera and at least 320 described species in Oxytelinae.
Hemicrepidius is a genus of click beetle belonging to the family Elateridae.
Phloiophilus edwardsii is the sole known species of the beetle family Phloiophilidae in the superfamily Cleroidea. It is native to Europe. The larvae are mycophagous, and have been observed feeding on basidiomycetes of the genus Phlebia growing on dead oak branches. The larvae are active during the winter period, before entering the soil to pupate in late spring-early summer.
Dendrometrinae is a very large subfamily of click beetles in the family Elateridae, containing 10 tribes worldwide, including several formerly recognized subfamily-rank groups such as Athoinae, Crepidomeninae, Denticollinae, Oxynopterinae, Prosterninae, and Semiotinae now all reduced to tribal rank or lower.
Elodes is a genus of marsh beetles in the family Scirtidae. There are more than 60 described species in Elodes.
Augyles is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Heteroceridae. The genus has an almost cosmopolitan distribution
Charopus is a genus of beetles belonging to the family Melyridae.
