Pulau Melaka is a man-made island off the coast of the Malaysian state of Malacca. It is part of the “Twin Island City Centre” project undertaken by Pulau Kembar Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Talam Corporation Berhad. This waterfront development project involves the reclamation of two islands, approximately 0.5 km off the coast of Malacca City measuring 40ha and 50ha respectively. The reclamation of the first island of 40ha and a 30m bridge linking to the mainland had been completed. The Pulau Melaka development was planned to comprise a floating mosque, Malacca Straits Mosque; 4,387 units of residential and 4,180 units of mixed commercial development together with leisure-cum-tourism amenities such as marine theme park, marina, hotels and waterfront activities.

It is about 52 kilometers from Melaka Sentral and is connected by the Panorama Bus through Durian Tunggal and Selandar. Batang Melaka has a small police station, a Chinese and Tamil government school, a town hall, a Salvation Army Corps centre, and one main road passing in the middle of the town.
Muar or Bandar Maharani, is a historical town and the capital of Muar District, Johor, Malaysia. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Malaysia to be visited and explored for its food, coffee and historical prewar buildings. It was recently declared as the royal town of Johor by Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar and is the fourth largest urban area in Johor. It is the main and biggest town of the bigger entity region or area of the same name, Muar which is sub-divided into the Muar district and the new Tangkak district, which was upgraded into a full-fledged district from the Tangkak sub-district earlier. Muar district as the only district covering the whole area formerly borders Malacca in the northern part. Upon the upgrading of Tangkak district, the Muar district now covers only the area south of Sungai Muar, whilst the northern area beyond the river is in within Tangkak district. However, both divided administrative districts are still collectively and fondly called and referred to as the region or area of Muar as a whole by their residents and outsiders. Currently, the new township of Muar is located in the Bakri area.
The Pulau Sebang/Tampin railway station is a Malaysian train station on the West Coast Line located near and named after the bordering towns of Pulau Sebang, Malacca and Tampin, Negeri Sembilan. The station itself is situated in Malaccan territory, being one of the two stations on the West Coast Line that serves the state of Malacca, the other being Batang Melaka.
