Rajgir International stadium is an under construction cricket stadium and sports complex in Rajgir, Bihar. After completion of construction, this stadium will be the home of Bihar cricket team. The total capacity of the stadium will be 45,000 seats. Once the stadium is built, it will be the largest stadium in Bihar and the most modern as well. [1] [2] Apart from being used for cricket, the sports complex is also being developed in a way so it can also be used for other sports as well like football. [3]

In 2018, it was announced by the Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar that an international cricket stadium will be constructed at Rajgir in Bihar's Nalanda district. On 12 October 2018, Nitish Kumar has laid the foundation stone of Rajgir international cricket stadium. The stadium will be the second stadium in Bihar that could host international matches after Moin-ul-Haq Stadium, and will be built on the model of Sydney Cricket Ground. The stadium will be built on 90 acres of land with an estimated cost of ₹633 Crore. It will serve as an international cricket stadium as well as a sports academy. [2]

The construction should have been completed in 2022, but As of January 2023, only 40% of the works have been finished. [4]

Sports complex and academy

It will be state of art sports complex which will have the facilities for 28 indoor and outdoor games including cricket with all modern facilities like a research center, motivation center, sports library, swimming pool, cafeteria. [5] This stadium will support twenty-five games including cricket, football and swimming. [6]

The stadium has a capacity of 25,000 people. It is used for cricket and association football. It is the home ground of Bihar Ranji Team. The government has proposed the stadium development expanding its seating capacity to 42,500. It is maintained by Bihar Cricket Association. Bihar Ranji Team had currently played many Ranji matches on this ground. It is named after Syed Muhammad Moin-ul-Haq, an Indian Sports administrator and former principal of Patna College.

Patna Metro (Patna MRTS) is a rapid transit system being constructed in the city of Patna, India. Construction will be completed over five phases, and the transit system would be owned and operated by the state-run Patna Metro Rail Corporation. In the first phase, five stations of Patna Metro will be operational by March 2025. Patna MRTS, constructed under a public-private partnership model, is estimated to cost 133,657.7 million (US$1.6 billion). This cost excludes land acquisition cost, which will be paid for by the Bihar government. The Sabhyata Dwar or Civilization Gate is a sandstone arch monument located on the banks on River Ganga in the city of Patna in the Indian state of Bihar. The Sabhyata Dwar is built with a Mauryan-style architecture with a purpose to show the ancient glory of Pataliputra and traditions and culture of the state of Bihar. The monument was first envisioned by the former Lieutenant General Srinivas Kumar Sinha. The 32 metres (105 ft) high structure is taller than Gateway of India by 6 metres (20 ft) and was built at a cost of ₹ 5 crore. The monument is spread over an area of one acre within the campus of Samrat Ashok International Convention Centre. The arches of the Dwar contain inscriptions attributed to Megasthenes, Ashoka, Buddha and Mahavira. Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated the monument on 21 May 2018.

Indira Gandhi International Sports Stadium is located in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India. It can seat 25,000 spectators and was inaugurated on 18 December 2016 by Harish Rawat, the then Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. It is spread over 70 acres and has cricket and football grounds, a track for 800-metre race, a hockey field, badminton courts, a lawn tennis court, a boxing ring, and a swimming pool.

Ghora Katora, which means "Horse Bowl", is a natural lake near the city of Rajgir in the Indian state of Bihar. The shape of the lake resembles that of a horse and is surrounded by mountains on three of the sides. The lake attracts migratory birds from Siberia and central Asia during winter.

Ganga Water Lift Project is a multi-phase drinking water project in Bihar, India. It is the ambitious project of Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar to supply safe drinking water to the water-alarmed towns like Gaya, Rajgir and Nawada, located in southern part of the state through pipeline by lifting water from Ganga river near Hathidah Ghat in Mokama in Patna district. The cost of first phase of this project was initially approved with 2,836 crore (US$340 million), the cost was later revised to 4,174 crore (US$500 million). Government of Bihar approved the first phase of the coveted Ganga Water Lift Scheme (GWLS) of Water Resource Department (WRD) in December 2019. Ganga Water Lift Project is part of Nitish Kumar's ‘Jal-Jivan-Hariyali Abhiyan' which is aimed to minimize the bad effects of climate change.

Maa Janaki Janmbhoomi Mandir or Punaura Dham is a proposed grand temple of princess Sita in Mithila at her birthplace. The site is located at the Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi district of Bihar in India. The site is considered as the appearance place from where Sita was found closed in a box from a farm field while the King Janaka was ploughing the farm field. Ramayana Research Council has proposed the construction of the world's tallest 251-feet statue of Mother Sita at Sitamarhi. There is a plan to build Janaki Dham in Sitamarhi on the lines of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. A grand campus known as Janaki Dham will be built on 57 acres of land near Punauradham. It is expected that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi will laid the foundation stone of the Janaki Dham before upcoming Lok Sabha Election 2024. The foundation stone of the Janaki Janmasthali Mandir was laid by the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of Bihar on 13 December 2023 at Punauradham in Sitamarhi, the place of manifestation of Goddess Janaki.

Munger Forestry College, established in 2022, is an Indian college in Munger district of Bihar. It is affiliated with Bihar Agricultural University Sabour, Bhagalpur and is the first forestry college in Bihar.
