Rama rama is a species of bagrid catfish endemic to India where it is found in the Brahmaputra River basin. It is the only member of its genus.

This film is a remake of a Telugu film Lava Kusha, released in the year 1963, which is known as the first full-length color film in Telugu Cinema.
