She debuted as a composer with a short lullaby titled Laali, which she also sang and released as part of Instagram's #1MinMusic. South Indian International Movie Awards, also known as the SIIMA Awards, rewards the artistic and technical achievements of the South Indian film industry. Ananya Bhat is an Indian playback singer who primarily sings in Kannada and Telugu. Through her singing career, she is the recipient of Filmfare Award for the song "Namma Kaayo Devan", of the film Rama Rama Re... at 64th Filmfare Awards South in 2017.

The award was first given in 2013 for films released in 2012. Jayasudha is the most nominated with 5 nominations and Anasuya Bharadwaj most awarded with 2 times winning the award.
