Rashkan-e Olya (Persian : رشكان عليا‎, also Romanized as Rashkān-e ‘Olyā; also known as Rashkān-e Bālā)^[1] is a village in Alan Rural District, in the Central District of Sardasht County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its existence was noted, but its population was not reported.^[2]

Persian, also known by its endonym Farsi, is one of the Western Iranian languages within the Indo-Iranian branch of the Indo-European language family. It is a pluricentric language primarily spoken in Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and some other regions which historically were Persianate societies and considered part of Greater Iran. It is written right to left in the Persian alphabet, a modified variant of the Arabic script.

Alan Rural District is a rural district (dehestan) in the Central District of Sardasht County, West Azerbaijan Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 4,489, in 939 families. The rural district has 40 villages.

The District has two cities: Sardasht and Rabat.
