This is a list of results for the 2021 New South Wales local elections in Outer Sydney including the Central Coast, though the region is considered to be separate from Greater Sydney. [1] [2] [3] [4]
Outer Sydney and surrounds covers 22 local government areas (LGAs) (excluding the Central Coast), including Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Wollondilly. [5] A further 10 LGAs are in the Inner Sydney region.
The Liberal Party did not endorse any candidates, including its five councillors elected in 2016. [6] [7]

Cumberland City Council is composed of five three-member wards, totalling 15 councillors. At the 2017 election, Labor won a majority with eight seats. [16]
In 2017, Greystanes Ward councillor Greg Cummings was suspended from Labor, and was expelled from the party in October 2018. [17] In September 2019, Granville Ward councillor Steve Christou left Labor to join Our Local Community. [17]
The Liberal Party did not endorse any candidates, leading its incumbent councillors to contest as Independent Liberals. [18]

He was also runner up at the last elections in 2021, where Cumberland Council elected a Labor majority with two Independent Liberals.
Labor again won eight seats in 2021, with the Our Local Community party (including former Labor councillor Steve Christou) as the main opposition, winning four seats. Two independent Liberals were re-elected, as was former Labor councillor Greg Cummings.
