Revolver (stylized as rEVOLVEr) is the fourth studio album by Swedish metal band the Haunted. [2] It was released on 18 October 2004.
After having been absent for the previous two studio albums, Peter Dolving was once again back in the band and provided the vocals for rEVOLVEr. He would remain with the band until he left once again in 2012.
As the title on the album indicates with its stylized typography (i.e. with the word "EVOLVE" printed in upper case letters between the two lower case r's), the band made a conscious decision to tweak (or "evolve") its songwriting on this album. As a result, rEVOLVEr contains some elements that were absent on previous The Haunted albums. Although the album still contains examples of the band's familiar thrash metal sound (e.g. "No Compromise", "Sabotage", "Sweet Relief"), it features considerably more mid-paced riffing (e.g. "99", "Burnt to a Shell", "Fire Alive") than in any of their previous albums. Two of the tracks even have ballad elements interspersed in them ("Abysmal" and "My Shadow"). Also notable is that rEVOLVEr has quite a few instances of clean singing in it, although the vast majority of the vocal tracking was still done in The Haunted's traditional hardcore/metalcore style of screaming.
A limited edition digipak of this CD contained two bonus tracks, and different artwork.
A music video was made for "No Compromise" which featured Barney Greenway.

The Haunted is a Swedish heavy metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1996. The original members were Anders and Jonas Björler, Peter Dolving, Adrian Erlandsson and Patrik Jensen. Lunar Strain is the debut studio album by Swedish heavy metal band In Flames, released in April 1994. The album is known for its "folky elements", with the inclusion of violins and acoustic guitars.
Slaughter of the Soul is the fourth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band At the Gates, released on 14 November 1995 by Earache Records. It was their last album before their eleven-year breakup from 1996 to 2007. Slaughter of the Soul is considered a landmark in melodic death metal and played a major role in popularizing the Gothenburg scene, alongside The Jester Race by In Flames and The Gallery by Dark Tranquillity. The album was recorded and mixed in Studio Fredman, early 1995.
Terminal Spirit Disease is the third album by Swedish melodic death metal band At the Gates. It was released in 1994 and re-released in 2003 with bonus tracks. It is the first album to feature rhythm guitarist Martin Larsson who replaced Alf Svensson in 1993. The band originally had wanted to record an EP of new material, but their label had insisted on a full-length album. To compromise, the band added several live tracks to pad the overall length.
Projector is the fourth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity.
Peter Dolving is a Swedish vocalist now living in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. He is most commonly known as the former frontman of the metal band The Haunted.
Adrian Paul Erlandsson is a Swedish heavy metal drummer who is a member of At the Gates, the Haunted, and Nemhain (2006–present).
Anders Björler is a Swedish musician. He is best known as the lead guitarist in the metal bands The Haunted and At the Gates, alongside his bass-playing twin brother Jonas Björler.
The Haunted is the debut studio album by Swedish metal band The Haunted, released in 1998 on Earache Records. Tracks 1–4 and 12 were part of the band's greatest hits album, Warning Shots. Peter Dolving and Adrian Erlandsson both quit at different times after the album, but both returned on different releases, with Dolving on rEVOLVEr, and Erlandsson on Eye of the Storm.
Live Rounds in Tokyo is the first live album by Swedish metal band The Haunted, released in 2001. It was issued with their previous release The Haunted Made Me Do It. The Japanese version of the album excludes the song "Eclipse", as it was on their version of The Haunted Made Me Do It; instead right before "Hate Song" is "Blinded by Fear", which is an At the Gates cover, also making "Hate Song" the final track of that version.
Made Me Do It is the second studio album by Swedish metal band The Haunted, released on 30 June 2000. It was re-released in 2001 with the live album Live Rounds in Tokyo as a bonus CD.

Cannibal is the fifth studio album by American industrial metal band Static-X, released on April 3, 2007. This is the first album from the band to contain guitar solos; every song with the exception of "Goat" has one. Cannibal was the first album to be produced by John Travis, and the first album to not feature Ulrich Wild, who produced and/or mixed the band's first four albums.
Fiction is the eighth studio album by Swedish melodic death metal band Dark Tranquillity. It was released by Napalm Records on 19 April 2007, and by Century Media in the UK on 23 April, and in the US on 24 April.
Versus is the sixth studio album by Swedish metal band The Haunted. It was released on 17 September 2008. This marks a return to their aggressive sounds in the previous albums after their experimental fifth album The Dead Eye. All instruments were recorded live like their debut album, The Haunted, and solos and vocals were added once they had the songs down. The album is more or less about the decadence of mankind as last two songs "Faultline" and "Imperial Death March" point it out.
Road Kill is the second live album by Swedish metal band The Haunted, released on 21 April 2010. The live tracks were recorded at Melkweg, Amsterdam on 13 February 2009. The studio bonus tracks were recorded during the Versus sessions, 1–14 April 2008
