Richard Olav Jensen (born 17 March 1996) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Danish side Vejle on loan from Scottish Premiership club Aberdeen and the Finland national team. He has captained the Finland national under-21 football team. [3] Jensen was born in Porvoo, Finland.
Jensen made his international debut for Finland in June 2022, at the age of 26.
Jensen joined FC Twente's youth academy in 2012 from HJK Helsinki. On 20 January 2017, he signed his first professional contract with Twente for three years. [4] Exactly a year later, on 20 January 2018, he made his professional debut for Twente in a 1–1 Eredivisie tie with Roda JC Kerkrade. [5]
On 23 July 2018, Jensen joined Eerste Divisie club Roda, signing a two-year deal. [6] He made his debut for Roda on 17 August 2018 playing full 90 minutes in a match against Jong Ajax. [7]
On 20 July 2022, Ekstraklasa side Górnik Zabrze announced the signing of Jensen on a one-year contract. [8] On 7 February 2023, his contract was extended until the end of June 2024. [9]
On 23 August 2023, Jensen signed a three-year deal with Scottish club Aberdeen, [10] for a rumoured £400,000 transfer fee. [11] [12] He debuted with his new team in Scottish Premiership on 27 August 2023, in a 2–2 away draw against St Mirren. [13] Jensen also represented Aberdeen in the 2023–24 UEFA Europa Conference League, playing in all six group stage matches against Eintracht Frankfurt, PAOK, and HJK Helsinki. [14]
On 23 August 2024, Jensen joined Danish Superliga club Vejle Boldklub on a season-long loan deal. [15]
Jensen was a youth international for Finland at various youth levels. [16] He captained Finland U21 in the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualification. [17]
He made his debut for the Finland national team on 7 June 2022 in a UEFA Nations League qualification game in Helsinki Olympic Stadium against Montenegro. [18]
Jensen's younger brother, Fredrik Jensen is also a professional footballer at FC Augsburg. [19]

Aberdeen
Sportvereniging Roda Juliana Combinatie Kerkrade, shortly as Roda JC Kerkrade or commonly Roda JC or simply Roda, is a Dutch professional football club based in Kerkrade, Netherlands. Roda JC Kerkrade plays in the Eerste Divisie. The club was founded by a merger between Rapid JC and Roda Sport in 1962. They were placed in the Eerste Divisie, and after a relegation they were promoted back to the top division in 1973, where they would stay for 41 years until being relegated in 2014. In 2009–10, they added Kerkrade to the name to create brand awareness and get financial support.
The Parkstad Limburg Stadion is a football stadium in Kerkrade, completed in 2000. With a present-day capacity of 19,979 seats, the stadium was officially opened on August 15, 2000, with a friendly between Roda JC and Real Zaragoza (2–2).
Përparim Hetemaj is a Finnish football coach and a former professional footballer who last played as a midfielder for Veikkausliiga club HJK. Born in Kosovo, Hetemaj arrived in Finland when he was six years old and played for HJK's youth teams; signing a professional contract in 2004 at age 17.
