Eastvale is a city located in northwestern Riverside County, California, in the Inland Empire region of Southern California. The area transitioned from a dairy farm enclave to a developed community starting in the 1990s and was incorporated on October 1, 2010. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 69,757. The city's name is derived from "East Vale" as a listed school district in 1893 by the Riverside County Board of Commissioners. The current mayor of Eastvale is Christian Dinco.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department (RSD), also known as the Riverside Sheriff's Office (RSO), is a law enforcement agency in Riverside County, in the U.S. state of California. Overseen by an elected sheriff-coroner, the department serves unincorporated areas of Riverside County as well as some of the incorporated cities in the county by contract. 17 of the county's 26 cities, with populations ranging from 4,958 to 193,365, contract with the department for police services. The county hospital and one tribal community also contract with the department for proactive policing. Riverside County is home to 12 federally recognized Indian reservations. Absent proactive policing and traffic enforcement, the department is responsible for enforcing criminal law on all Native American tribal land within the county. This function is mandated by Public Law 280, enacted in 1953, which transferred the responsibility of criminal law enforcement on tribal land from the federal government to specified state governments including California. The department also operates the county's jail system.

The Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) is the main transit agency for western Riverside County, California, United States. RTA provides both local and regional services throughout the region with 32 fixed-routes ,3 CommuterLink routes, Micro Transit in the Hemet San Jacinto area, and Dial-A-Ride services using a fleet of 339 vehicles. In the cities of Corona, Beaumont and Banning, RTA coordinates regional services with municipal transit systems. In Riverside, RTA coordinates with the city's Riverside Special Services, which provides ADA complementary service to RTA's fixed-route services.

The Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG) is the metropolitan planning organization (MPO) of six of the ten counties in Southern California, serving Imperial County, Los Angeles County, Orange County, Riverside County, San Bernardino County, and Ventura County. San Diego County's MPO is the San Diego Association of Governments, which is an unrelated agency.

The Riverside County Office of Education (RCOE) serves as an intermediary between the California Department of Education and local school districts. It provides a wide range of educational and administrative services to the 23 school districts and more than 423,000 students in Riverside County.

The Corona-Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) is a school district in Riverside County, California, in the United States, serving the cities of Corona, Norco, and Eastvale, along with the CDPs of Coronita, El Cerrito, Home Gardens, Lake Mathews and Temescal Valley, and a small portion of Jurupa Valley. It is the largest public school district in Riverside County and was named the California Exemplary School District of 2019. CNUSD has 50 schools in operation: 30 elementary schools, 3 K–8 academies, 8 intermediate schools, 1 Hybrid school, and 8 high schools. The school board is composed of five members, elected by geographical district and serve a four-year term with the elections being held in November of even-numbered years.

Jurupa Valley is a city in the northwest corner of Riverside County, California, United States. It was the location of one of the earliest non-native settlements in the county, Rancho Jurupa. The Rancho was initially an outpost of the Mission San Gabriel Arcángel, then a Mexican land grant in 1838. The name is derived from a Native American village that existed in the area prior to the arrival of Europeans.

Belltown is a neighborhood of Jurupa Valley, California within the County of Riverside. It was originally known as West Riverside, but their need for a separate identity to the nearby large city of Riverside, they voted to rename their town. It was an unincorporated community, until July 1, 2011, when it became part of the newly incorporated city of Jurupa Valley. It lies at an elevation of 840 feet.

Jocelyn Yow is a Malaysian Chinese Vietnamese American politician who currently serves as city councilmember of District 4 in Eastvale, California. She also serves as the Legislative Advocacy Director at IGNITE National, a non-profit organization that works to elect young women into office. On December 10, 2020, Yow was sworn in as mayor of Eastvale, making her the youngest woman of color to serve as mayor in a California city.
