John Charles Dykstra, A.S.C. is an American special effects artist, pioneer in the development of the use of computers in filmmaking and recipient of three Academy Awards, among many other awards and prizes. He was one of the original employees of Industrial Light & Magic, the special effects and computer graphics division of Lucasfilm. He is well known as the special effects lead on the original Star Wars, helping bring the original visuals for lightsabers, space battles between X-wings and TIE fighters, and Force powers to the screen. He also led special effects on many other movies, including Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, Stuart Little, X-Men: First Class, Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2.
Matthew J. Yuricich was an American special effects artist.

Gene Cantamessa was an American sound engineer. He won an Academy Award for Best Sound for his work on the 1982 Steven Spielberg film, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Cantamessa received six additional Academy Award nominations in the same category during his career.

She became the first woman to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Sound Effects Editing in 1986 for Top Gun and went on to win the Oscar for The Hunt for Red October, a 1990 film for which she also received a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Sound at the 44th British Academy Film Awards.
Clayton Willis Pinney was an American special effects artist who has won an Academy Award for visual effects as well as an Academy Award for Technical Achievement. His name was mentioned at the 95th Academy Awards in the In Memorian section.
