Clayton Willis Pinney (May 30, 1946 – November 1, 2022) [1] was an American special effects artist who has won an Academy Award for visual effects as well as an Academy Award for Technical Achievement. His name was mentioned at the 95th Academy Awards in the In Memorian section. [2]

The 69th Academy Awards ceremony, organized by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS) took place on March 24, 1997, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles beginning at 6:00 p.m. PST / 9:00 p.m. EST.
