Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba (born 2 February 1984 in Kaptul, Marakwet District) is a Kenyan long-distance track, and road running athlete.

Robert Kipkorir Kipchumba (born 2 February 1984 in Kaptul, Marakwet District) is a Kenyan long-distance track, and road running athlete.
He started running while at Hossen Primary School. Kipchumba won the junior race at the 2000 World Cross Country Championships in Vilamoura finishing in 22:49. Later that year in Santiago de Chile he won the gold medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships in Athletics when he finished the 10,000 m in 28:54.37. In 2001 and 2002 his running was hampered by injuries. He was recruited by Kenyan Army in 2002. He won the Stramilano half marathon in 2004. [1]
On 8 October 2006 he won the silver medal at the World Road Running Championships. He set a Kenyan national record of 56:41 minutes for the 20 km distance. He won the Lisbon Half Marathon in 2007 with a time of 1:00.31. [2]
He made his marathon debut at the 2009 Rotterdam Marathon, finishing eighth and setting a time of 2:09:54 hours. [3] He won the 2011 Xiamen Marathon with a course record of 2:08:07, in spite of poor weather conditions. [4] His second race of the year came at the Lisbon Half Marathon in March and he came fourth in the fast-paced race. [5]
He is managed by Gianni Demadonna and coached by Renato Canova. Kipchumba has a 4-acre (16,000 m2) farm in Trans-Nzoia District. He is married with two children (as of 2004).
Moses Cheruiyot Mosop is a Kenyan middle and long distance athlete. He competed for Kenya at the 2004 Olympic Games and went on to take 10,000 metres bronze at the 2005 World Championships in Athletics. He has also been successful in cross country running, having won the silver at the 2007 IAAF World Cross Country Championships as well as team gold with Kenya in 2007 and 2009.
Charles Waweru Kamathi is a Kenyan long-distance runner. He is best known for winning the 10,000 metres distance at the 2001 World Championships in Edmonton.
Hosea Mwok Macharinyang was a Kenyan professional runner who specialized in the 10,000 metres and cross-country running. He won three consecutive team titles with Kenya at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships from 2006 to 2008.
Michael Kipkorir Kipyego is a Kenyan runner who competes in marathon races. He was initially a specialist in the 3000 metres steeplechase and was the 2002 World Junior Champion in the event. He represented Kenya in the steeplechase at the World Championships in 2003 and was runner-up at the 2008 African Championships. He set a personal best of 8:08.48 hours in 2009.
Paul Malakwen Kosgei is a Kenyan long-distance and marathon runner. He first came to prominence in athletics by taking the World Junior Record of 3000m steeple in 1997, and later with consecutive medals at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships from 1998 to 2000.
Anna Carmela Incerti is an Italian long-distance runner who specializes in the marathon. She has represented Italy in the marathon at European, World and Olympic-level. She won the bronze in the event at the 2010 European Championships, later upgraded to silver and then to gold.
Josphat Kiprono Menjo is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in track and road running.
Emmanuel Kipchirchir Mutai is a long distance runner from Kenya, who specialises in marathons. He is now the joint 6th fastest man ever over the 42.195 km distance.
Sammy Kirop Kitwara is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in road running events. He is coached by Moses Kiptanui. As of November 2023 he is the 33rd fastest half marathon runner in history, having run 58.48 in 2011, which was the 4th fastest ever at the time.
Wilson Kiprop is a Kenyan long-distance runner, who specialises in the 10,000 metres and half marathon. He was the world champion at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships in 2010 and was the 10,000 m gold medalist at the 2010 African Championships in Athletics.
Jonathan Kosgei Kipkorir is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in road running competitions, including marathons. He is a two-time winner of the Venice Marathon, with consecutive wins in 2006 and 2007, and won the 2010 Beppu-Ōita Marathon. He also competes over the half marathon and has wins from the Rome-Ostia Half Marathon and Porto Half Marathon. His personal best in the marathon is 2:07:31 while he has run 1:00:19 for the half marathon distance.
Mathew Kipkoech Kisorio is a Kenyan professional long-distance runner who competes in road running and cross country running competitions. He has a half marathon best of 58:46 minutes and a marathon best of 2:07:06 hours. On the roads, he has won the Philadelphia Half Marathon, Kagawa Marugame Half Marathon and Stramilano races.
Marcella Mancini is an Italian long-distance runner who specialises in the marathon. A two-time Italian champion in the marathon, she has twice represented Italy at the international level – at the 2005 IAAF World Half Marathon Championships and the 2006 European Championships Marathon. Her personal best of 2:33:17 hours for the distance was set at the 2005 Turin Marathon.
Vincenza Sicari is an Italian long-distance runner. She represented Italy internationally in cross country running early in her career, but later moved on to road events. She has appeared at the IAAF World Half Marathon Championships on three occasions and ran in the marathon for Italy at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Silvana Cruciata is a former Italian middle- and long-distance runner. She represented Italy at the 1976 Montreal Olympics and shared medals with the Italian women's teams at the IAAF World Cross Country Championships. Her best of 18.084 km for the one hour run set in 1981 was a world record for over seventeen years.
Benson Kipchumba Barus is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in marathon and half marathon competitions. He has a personal best of 2:07:07 hours for the distance, set at the 2011 Prague Marathon, which he won. He also won the 2009 Turin Marathon and has placed top three in Rome, Beijing and Chuncheon.
Tiziana Alagia is a retired Italian long-distance runner who specialised in the marathon. She represented Italy at the World Championships in Athletics in 2001. A one-time Italian marathon champion, her best for the distance was 2:27:53 hours. She primarily competed in Italy and won marathon races in Florence, Carpi, Turin, Padova and Piacenza.
Daniel Rono is a Kenyan long-distance runner who competes in marathon races. He began his marathon career in 2005 and has won marathons in Mumbai, Toronto and Madrid.
Paul Kipchumba Lonyangata is a Kenyan long-distance runner who specialises in road running events. He is a marathon runner with a personal best of 2:06:10 and has won marathons in Lisbon, Shanghai, Taipei and Paris. He was a bronze medallist at the World Junior Championships in Athletics in 2010.
Jane Jepkosgei Kiptoo is a Kenyan long-distance runner who mainly competes in road running events, up to the marathon distance. She was a team silver medallist in the short race at the 2002 IAAF World Cross Country Championships – her only international selection for Kenya. She also competed in track running in the 2008 season and was third in the 3000 metres at the 2008 IAAF World Athletics Final, and also eight in the 5000 metres in a lifetime best time of 15:03.80 minutes.
