Rockwave Festival is a rock festival that takes place in Malakasa, Greece, near Athens. It is one of the most famous music festivals in Greece. The festival's history begins in 1996, but its popularity has spread since 2004. The festival's location was constantly being changed until 2004, when event park TerraVibe Park, located in Attica, became the permanent venue of the festival.
Asking Alexandria were to play on the second day but did not perform due to health issues of their drummer.

Monday 31 March was the day when Didi Music-Big Star Promotion Ltd (music concert organizer), announced the names of the artists that would perform at Rockwave Festival 2008. Along with the names they introduced the changes in the festival's whole structure. The festival is now divided in two stages, "Terra" stage and "Vibe" stage (that comes by the name of the event park "TerraVibe"). They also abolished the division of the "Terra" concert area into gates PL1 and PL2, lowered the high price of the tickets and retained the special area that is on the side of the field, where there is more comfort, as there are places to sit.

The first festival was called "Rock of Gods" and took place in the Dock 3 of the Piraeus harbour.
Motörhead was included in the first day of the festival, but cancelled and Saxon filled up their spot. Foo Fighters were to play on the third day of the festival, but Dave Grohl broke his arm at a previous show and Violent Femmes took their place.

Piraeus is a port city within the Athens urban area, in the Attica region of Greece. It is located eight kilometres (5 mi) southwest of Athens' city centre along the east coast of the Saronic Gulf in the Athens Riviera.
The Olympic Stadium of Athens "Spyros Louis" is a sports stadium in Marousi, in the north section of Athens, Greece. With a total capacity of 75,000, it is the largest sports venue in Greece. It is a part of the Athens Olympic Sports Complex (OAKA) and is named after the first modern Olympic marathon gold medalist in 1896, Spyros Louis. Ethnikos Piraeus F.C. is a Greek football club based in Piraeus and its parent sports club is Ethnikos OFPF. The club was officially formed on 21 November 1923 as Keravnos, but existed since 1922. Sick of the Studio '07 was a 2007 concert tour by American heavy metal band Metallica, which took place in Europe. The first four concerts were in festivals and the last eight in stadiums. The band held a tourname-competition among the fans and they personally chose the winning suggestion. The band did not play the "New Song" but the "Other New Song", which they had played on the previous tour, was played at the Bilbao BBK Live Festival The setlists of the tour were full of old songs. In Lisbon, Metallica performed "...And Justice for All" for the first time since October 1989.

Panachaiki F.C. is a Greek professional football club based in Patras, Greece and they play in Super League Greece 2, the second tier of Greek football. Founded in 1891, they have reached the Greek Cup semi-finals twice, as well as the quarter-finals on ten occasions. The Paradise Tour was the second concert tour by American singer, Lana Del Rey, in support of her third extended play, Paradise. The tour kicked off on April 3, 2013 at Galaxie Mega Hall in Amnéville, France and visited many major European countries during the spring and summer in 2013. The tour concluded on October 18, 2014 at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles. Overall, the tour lasted over eighteen months from April 2013 to October 2014 and visited four continents.
The 2018–19 Greek Football Cup was the 77th season of the Greek Football Cup. A total of 73 clubs were accepted to enter, 16 from the Super League, 16 from the Football League and the 41 previous season local FCA Cup winners. PAOK won the competition for third consecutive year beating AEK Athens 1–0 in the final held at the Olympic Stadium.
The 1934–35 Panhellenic Championship was not held due to increased obligations of the Greece national team to fully prepare for the 5th Balkan Cup. Ten teams from the 3 founding associations of HFF participated in the Panhellenic Championship 1934–35, divided into 2 groups, South and North. They were represented by the same number of clubs as the previous championship and specifically by them, since the local championships were stopped to save time.
The 1943–44 Panhellenic Championship did not occur due the events of the WW2 and the Axis occupation of Greece. Nevertheless, in May 1943, football matches were organized by the municipality of Piraeus, where Olympiacos and Panathinaikos participated in.
