Ronnel Arambulo (born May 18, 1976) is a Filipino fisherman, environmentalist, and activist who is Vice Chaiperson of Pambasang Lakas ng Kilusang Mamamalakaya Pilipinas (National Force of Fisherfolk Movement in the Philippines) or PAMALAKAYA. [1] In the 2025 Philippine Senate election, he is running under Makabayan.
Arambulo was born on May 18, 1976 in Malakaban, Binangonan, Rizal and graduated from Janosa National High School. [2]
He was a member of Anakbayan from 2005 to 2006 and became member of PAMALAKAYA since 2006. He also became the chairperson of the Anakpawis chapters in his municipality and province. [2]
Arambulo has been involved since 2008 on grassroots campaigns to help fisherfolk and amplify their issues including reclamation. [1] PAMALAKAYA has been part of campaign to oppose the reclamation projects as he said that these would greatly harm the livelihood of fisherfolk. [3]
He was revealed as part of Makabayan Senatoriable slate on August 19, 2024 among the fishing community in Navotas. He said that a fisherfolk is needed in the Senate, in order to address issues such as the reclamation of Manila Bay, destruction of marine habitat, oil spill, disasters, and on the West Philippine Sea, asserting the rights of fisherfolk livelihood in the area and in opposing the presence of big powers. [1] In 2001, he was part of a coastal protest of fisherfolk in Botolan, Zambales protesting marking the fifth year of the arbitration ruling on South China Sea. [2]

The Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP), formerly and still commonly referred to as the Public Utility Vehicle Modernization Program (PUVMP), is a program made by the Department of Transportation (DOTr) of the Philippines in 2017, with the goal of making the country's public transportation system efficient and environmentally friendly by 2020.
