Rosario de Mora is a municipality in the San Salvador department of El Salvador. According to the Census of Population and Housing 2007, has 11,377 inhabitants.

History

In the 1807 "The Rosary" was a farm located within the town limits of Panchimalco, years later it became Canton Township. On April, 7 1894 it was renamed as Rosario de Mora.[ citation needed ] 13°35′N89°13′W / 13.583°N 89.217°W / 13.583; -89.217

San Jose Villanueva is a small municipality in the Department of La Libertad, El Salvador. San Jose Villanueva has a population of 14,000 inhabitants and 9,896 inhabitants. It is located in the south of the Department, bordered by the cities of Nuevo Cuscatlán to the north, Huizucar to the east, the port of La Libertad to the south and Zaragoza to the west. The town contains a health clinic, six schools, an institute, a Catholic church, and seven Protestant churches. Casa Blanca is a pre-Columbian Maya archeological site in Chalchuapa, El Salvador. The site possesses several pyramids dating to the Late Preclassic period and the Classic period. This ruin is part of the Chalchuapa archaeological zone and displays influences from the Olmecs and from Teotihuacan. It is closely related to the ruins of Tazumal and San Andrés. The government purchased the park in 1977 and it was given the name of the coffee plantation upon which it was situated. There are many pyramids at Casa Blanca but only two have been partially restored. Casa Blanca is located in the department of Santa Ana. Casa Blanca has been closed to the public and is undergoing restoration work; it has a site museum with exhibits that include Maya ceramics and other artifacts.
