Eriya Kategaya was a Ugandan lawyer and politician. At the time of his death he was Uganda's First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for East African Community Affairs. He was also an ex officio Member of the Ugandan Parliament,on account of being a cabinet minister.
Makerere University is Uganda's largest and oldest institution of higher learning,first established as a technical school in 1922,and the oldest currently active university in East Africa. It became an independent national university in 1970. Today,Makerere University is composed of nine colleges and one school offering programmes for about 36,000 undergraduates and 4,000 postgraduates. The main administrative block was gutted by fire in September 2020 and the cause of the fire is yet to be established.

He lived in exile in the United Kingdom in the 1970s and 1980s before returning to Uganda in 1986. He subsequently became a senior advisor to President Yoweri Museveni and a prominent newspaper columnist. He represented East Africa at the 1975 Cricket World Cup and was later president of the Uganda Cricket Association.
Samson Babi Mululu Kisekka was a Ugandan politician who was Prime Minister of Uganda from 1986 to 1991 and the fifth Vice President of Uganda from 1991 to 1994. He also worked as a medical doctor and diplomat. He was closely associated with Yoweri Museveni.

He previously served in the Cabinet of Uganda as Third Deputy Prime Minister and Deputy Leader of Government Business from May 2011 until June 2016. He also served as the first First Deputy Prime Minister from June 2016 to May 2021. He has served as the elected Member of Parliament for East Moyo County in Adjumani District since 2011.
Tarsis Bazana Kabwegyere is a Ugandan sociologist,academic and politician. He is the former minister of general duties,Office of the Prime Minister in the Ugandan cabinet. He was appointed to that position on 23 May 2013. Before that,from 15 August 2012 until 23 May 2013,he was the minister of gender,labour and social affairs. At first,the parliamentary committee vetting cabinet appointments rejected his selection,but after discussions between President Yoweri Museveni and Speaker Rebecca Kadaga,he was finally approved on 7 September 2012. Earlier,he was the minister of disaster relief and planning in the Ugandan cabinet,from 1 June 2006 until 27 May 2011. In the cabinet reshuffle of 27 May 2011,he was dropped from the cabinet and was replaced by Stephen Mallinga. He was also the elected member of parliament representing Igara County West,Bushenyi District,from 1996 until 2011.

Oulanyah was also the member of parliament representing the Omoro County constituency,Omoro District,Acholi sub-region,in the Uganda's Northern Region.

Previously,she served as the Cabinet Minister of Kampala Capital City and before that,from 6 June 2016 until 14 December 2019,she served as the Minister of Lands,Housing and Urban Development in Uganda's cabinet. She is also the incumbent member of parliament representing the Oyam South Constituency in the 11th Parliament.

She is the first female prime minister of Uganda.
