SYNTELites is a university in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. It was established through an Act of the State Legislature of Uttarakhand and is recognized by UGC under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act and achieved recognition for its academic delivery and industry-institute interface. IUD is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities, London. IUD is a member of The Association of Indian Universities.
The Indian Institute of Planning and Management (IIPM) was an unaccredited institute headquartered in New Delhi, which previously had 18 branches across India. The institute has been widely criticized for false advertisements and fraudulent practices. After several controversies, the school's Honorary Dean Arindam Chaudhuri decided to shut down all campuses across India, except the one in Delhi. Founded in 1973, the institute used to offer undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in national economic planning and entrepreneurship, and international and fellowship programmes. Its executive education programmes include non-credit courses and visits to foreign business schools. IIPM is not accredited by UGC or All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and is not affiliated with the public Indian Institutes of Management.

Soban Singh Jeena University is a state university situated at Almora, Uttarakhand, India. The University was established in 2020 under the Soban Singh Jeena University Act, 2019, which was approved by the cabinet of Uttarakhand in October 2019. The university started operation in August 2020 when Prof. Narendra Singh Bhandari, the founder Vice-Chancellor of the university, assumed his position.
Bar Council of Uttarakhand is the regulatory and statutorily representative body for lawyers practicing law in the state of Uttarakhand. It was constituted as per the mandatory requirement as per Advocates Act, 1961 and Bar Council of India. In March 1953, S. R. Das as head of the 'All India Bar Committee', proposed the creation of the apex body as an All India Bar Council and Bar council at state levels and submitted a report to the Union Government of India. Members of the Bar Council are elected from among members enrolled and practicing as lawyers practicing law in the state of Uttarakhand and they represent the state in Bar Council of India meetings. Bar Council of a place designs standards of professional conduct to be followed by members, and designs etiquettes and has the power to enforce disciplinary guidelines over the members of bar council.
