Greatorex was an electoral division of the Legislative Assembly in Australia's Northern Territory. It was first created in 1990, replacing the abolished electorate of Sadadeen, and was named after Tony Greatorex, the last President of the Legislative Council. Greatorex was a mostly urban electorate, covering an area of 76 km², and encompassing the Alice Springs suburbs of Sadadeen and Traeger Park. There were 4,606 people enrolled in the electorate as of August 2012.

The Alice Springs Town Council is a local government area in the Northern Territory. On 1 July 1971, Alice Springs was gazetted as a Municipality with the town council elected on 25 July 1971. It is situated 1,498 kilometres (931 mi) south of Darwin. The council governs an area of 328 square kilometres (127 sq mi) and had a population of 26,534 in June 2018.

Alice Springs was an electoral division of the Legislative Assembly in Australia's Northern Territory. Originally created for the Legislative Council in 1947, the seat had 735 electors and elected a single member. It became one of the Legislative Assembly's original electorates and was contested at the 1974 election, and was named after the town of Alice Springs. It was abolished in 1983 and replaced by the new seats of Araluen, Braitling and Sadadeen.
