"Saiyaara" (transl. Moving star) is an Indian Hindi-language song for the soundtrack album of the 2025 Hindi film of the same name. It was composed by Faheem Abdullah. Tanishk Bagchi and Arslan Nizami with lyrics from Irshad Kamil. The song was released on 3 June 2025. [1] The reprise version of the song titled "Saiyaara Reprise – Female", was sung by Shreya Ghoshal. [2]
The music video for the song stars actors from the film, Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. The choreography was done by Vijay Ganguly. [3] "Saiyaara" was shot in a single day, according to a post from Bollywood Hungama. The song, which serves as the end credits for the film, was a last-minute addition and was filmed shortly before the film's release. [4]
Radhika Sharma of NDTV noted that the song is "both hummable as well as head-bangy". [5] Rishabh Suri of Hindustan Times praised the title track, calling it "hauntingly beautiful" and stating it leaves a lasting impact. "Saiyaara" became the first Hindi song to reach the top 10 on Spotify's Global Top 50 chart. [10] The song peaked at #1 on "India Songs" for consecutive nine weeks through 2 August 2025 [11] to 27 September 2025. [12] The song peaked at the same position on "Official Asian Music Chart" also, for consecutive three weeks through 8 August 2025 [13] to 22 August 2025. [14] The song entered the "Billboard Global 200" and peaked at the 8th position in the week of 9 August 2025, [15] and became the first Hindi song to reach the top 10 on the Global 200 chart. On the "Billboard Global Excl. US" chart, the song peaked at #4 in the week of 2 August 2025.
