Samagaun is a village development committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. The village is located at an altitude between 3530 m and 3800m, making it the highest-located large settlement in the Manaslu Mountain Area. [1] At the time of the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 665 and had 179 houses in the village. 100% of this population are followers of Buddhism. [2]

Samagaun village falls within the Manaslu Circuit Trek and is regarded as the last stop for trekkers before Birendra Lake and Manaslu Base Camp. [3]

It was initially named "Prithvinarayan" after King Prithvi Narayan Shah, who was born in Gorkha and united and founded modern Nepal. In 2009, the name was changed to "Gorkha" municipality after the end of the monarchy in Nepal. At the time of the 2021 Nepal census it had a population of 53,285 people living in 12,641 individual households. In 2014, the neighboring Village development committees Nareshwar and Phinam were merged into the municipality.

The town of Salleri, which is located within the municipality is the headquarter of Solukhumbu District It was formed in 2014 by merging four VDCs: Salleri, Garma, Loding Tamakhani and Beni and was divided into 9 wards. Dhola, Nepal is a village development committee in Dhading District in the Bagmati Zone of central Nepal. It is situated high up the Himalayas in the Annapurna and Manaslu Mountain range in the mid-western Nepal at an altitude of 1210 m above the sea level. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 4,033 and had 998 houses in it. Where total population of Male and Female are 1,772 and 2,261 respectively.

Aarupokhari (आरूपोखारी), also spelled Aarupokhari, is a village development committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 5,465 and had 898 houses in the town.

Bhumlichok is a village development committee in Gorkha District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 2,964 and had 518 houses in the town.

Dhampus is a village and Village Development Committee in Kaski District in the Gandaki Zone of northern-central Nepal. The village is located 19 km away from the Pokhara Baglung Highways and falls within the trekking route of Mardi Himal Trek. At the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 2,753 persons in 547 individual households. The village is gradually turning into a tourist destination. It has the Australian Base Camp with views of the peaks Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchhre.

Dhital, formerly a village development committee in Kaski District, Gandaki Zone, is now located in Machhapuchhre rural municipality, ward number 6 in Kaski district, Gandaki Province, Nepal.The name Dhital Dhi+Tal Dhi means nepali word धि and Tal means lake it is believed that there was a lake in 18th century. At the 1991 Nepal census, it had a population of 4,121 persons in 862 individual households. Dhital is near Annapurna Himalaya and on its trekking route.

The name Dudhpokhari is derived from the lake which lies in the base of Himalchuli. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 10,975 people living in 2590 individual households. The highest elevation is Mount Himalchuli. Dudhpokhari kunda, which lies in the base of himalchuli, is a popular religious destination which attracts thousand of Hindus in Shrawan during Janai Purnima.

Pisang is a village development committee in Manang District in the Gandaki Zone of northern Nepal. At the time of the 2011 Nepal census it had a population of 307 people living in 105 individual households. The village is located in the Marshyangdi River valley, directly south of Pisang Peak, north of Annapurna II, and west of Paungda Danda. Pisang village is the last human settlement before the Pisang Trekking Peak 6,091 m, thus increasing tourism activities in the last few years. Currently, 8 local houses have been converted to guest houses to accommodate climbers to Pisang Trek.

Khare is a village development committee in Dolakha District in the Janakpur Zone of north-eastern Nepal. The village has 19 Wards, which are the functional unit of the village development committee. At the time of the 1991 Nepal census it had a population of 1,887 people living in 387 individual households.
