Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities

The Saskatchewan Association of Rural Municipalities, often abbreviated as SARM, is an independent association that is responsible for representing the governments of the many rural municipalities in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. It is an official Government of Saskatchewan sanctioned corporation. [1] There are 296 rural municipalities represented by SARM in such areas as dealing with the provincial and federal [2] governments. The members are arranged in divisions in order to elect SARM Directors.

Board of Directors of Divisions

SARM is governed by a board of directors. There are eight people on the board of directors: the president, the vice-president, and one director from each SARM division. All board members must be elected rural municipal officials from their local municipality. The President of the Rural Municipal Administrators Association (RMAA) also sits on the board as an Ex-Officio member. The board of directors currently includes: [3]

Sonningdale, Saskatchewan Hamlet in Saskatchewan, Canada

Sonngdale is a hamlet in Rural Municipality of Eagle Creek No. 376, Saskatchewan, Canada. The hamlet is located on Highway 376 about 90 km (56 mi) northwest of Saskatoon and 84 km (52 mi) southeast of North Battleford. The hamlet with a population of less than 50 people as of January 2010. School students are bused to the nearby town of Maymont, which is about 20 kilometers north. Sonningdale has a church, post office, community complex, seniors centre, a library, and a firehall. The two story school had an enrollment of 33 in 2005, and was closed in June 2006. Two relocatable classrooms were move away in 2009.

Local elections were held on the Philippines on May 13, 2013, the same day and on the same ballot as national elections. Elected were governors, mayors and council members of Philippine provinces, Philippine cities and Philippine municipalities. Separate elections for barangay officials were held on October.

Doug Steele is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan in the 2016 provincial election. He represents the electoral constituency of Cypress Hills as a member of the Saskatchewan Party.
