Schizopygopsis is a genus of cyprinid fish. Most species are endemic to river basins in the Himalayas and Qinghai–Tibet Plateau of China, but S. stoliczkai extends into the highlands of Afghanistan, Iran, northern India, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
Schizopygopsis kialingensis is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which also includes the carps, barbs, minnowns and related fishes. This fish is endemic to the upper Jialing Jiang basin in Gansu and Sichuan in China. It is found in cold water in shallow, slow-flowing highland hill streams and in small lakes. Its diet is zoobenthos and benthic algae. This species spawns in June and July. This species has a maximum published standard length of 18.3 cm (7.2 in).
Schizopygopsis malacanthus is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which also includes the carps, barbs, minnowns and related fishes. This species is endemic to China where it occurs in the upper Jinsha Jiang and Yalong Jiang basin in Qinghai, Sichuan, part of Tibet, and Yunnan. It grows to 20.4 cm (8.0 in) SL.
Schizopygopsis pylzovi is a species of river-dwelling ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which also includes the carps, barbs, minnowns and related fishes. It is endemic to the Qinghai–Tibetan Plateau, China. It grows to 30 cm (12 in) body length.
Schizopygopsis thermalis is a species of ray-finned fish endemic to China. It occurs in the upper Salween River drainage in Tibet. Little is known about its ecology, apart from it being recorded from rivers.
Schizopygopsis younghusbandi is a species of ray-finned fish endemic to Tibet. It occurs in the Yarlung Tsangpo River drainage and in endorheic lakes in its vicinity. Schizopygopsis younghusbandi grows to about 50 cm (1.6 ft) in total length.

Young individuals and small adults live in shallow streams and pools, while large adults inhabit the main river and lakes. It grows to 34 cm (13 in) in total length.
Schizopygopsis labiosa is a species of cyprinid fish that is only found in the upper reaches of the Yellow River basin in the Qinghai–Tibet Plateau of China, where it mostly inhabits slow-flowing cold waters at altitudes above 3,000 m (9,800 ft). It was regarded as the only member of the genus Chaunchia, and as a schizothoracine. However, Eschmeyer's Catalog of Fishes classifies this species within the genus Schizopygopsis in the subfamily Schizopygopsinae.
Oxygymnocypris is a monospecific genus of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which includes the carps, barbs, minnows and related fishes. The only species in this genus is Oxygymnocypris stewartii, a species endemic to Tibet and occurs in the Yarlung Tsangpo River and its tributaries at altitudes above 3,600 m (11,800 ft) in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

Schizopygopsis chilianensis is a species of freshwater ray-finned fish belonging to the family Cyprinidae, the family which also includes the carps, barbs, minnowns and related fishes. This fish is endemic to China where it occurs along the northeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau in Gansu, Nei Mongol, and Qinghai Provinces, in the Hexi River system, occurring along the Shiyang, Ruoshui and Shule Rivers. It is found in mountain streams. This species has a maximum published standard length of 21.3 cm (8.4 in).

This species is endemic to Tibet where it is found only in four endorheic mountain lakes, Lang Tso, Gongzhu, Mafamu and Langa, in the south and west of the province. This species reaches a length of 24.5 cm (9.6 in).

This species is endemic to China where it is restricted to two lakes, Paiku Lake and Chuocuolong Lake in southern Tibet. It spawns in the streams which feed these lakes. This species has a maximum published standard length of 25.2 cm (9.9 in).

Schizopygopsis firmispinatus is a species of fish in the Cyprinidae family. The species is found in both the Jinsha River and the Lancang River in China.
