Seema Punia-Antil (born 27 July 1983) is an Indian discus thrower.Her personal best throw is 64.84 m,achieved in Kyiv in 2004.
Seema Antil was born in Khewda village of Sonipat district in Haryana. [1] Her sporting career began at the age of 11 years as a hurdler and a long-jumper, but later took to discus throw. [2] Her gold medal win at the World Junior Championships in 2000 in Santiago earned her the nickname: 'Millennium Child'. [3] She studied in the Government College, Sonipat.
Antil originally won a gold medal at the 2000 World Junior Championships, but she lost it due to a positive drugs' test for pseudoephedrine. As per the rules in force at that time for such an offence, her National Federation issued her a public warning after stripping her of the medal. [4] She won a bronze medal at the next World Junior Championships in 2002.
She won a silver medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, and was honoured with Bhim Award by the Haryana state government on 26 June 2006. Her absence from the 2006 Asian Games attracted considerable media attention. [5] She had tested positive for a steroid (stanozolol) prior to the Games but was cleared to participate by her National Federation. She, however, opted out of the team for the Games. [6]
She won a bronze medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. She finished 12th at the 2012 London Olympics. In 2014, she won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and a gold at the Asian Games. [7]
Antil is married to Ankush Punia, her coach, and a former discus thrower who represented India at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. [8]

Krishna Poonia is an international gold-medalist Indian discus thrower, track-and-field athlete, 2 times Olympics participant, Padma Shri and Arjuna Award recipient, politician from the Congress party and the former MLA from Sadulpur constituency in Rajasthan. She participated in 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. In 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games, she won a gold medal. She was appointed the President Of the Rajasthan State Sports Council in February 2022.
Geetika Jakhar is an Indian wrestler. Geetika comes from a family of sportspersons. She got Arjuna Award - 2006. She is the only women wrestler in the history of Indian sports to be judged the Best Wrestler of the 2005 Commonwealth Games and also who won medals at Asian Games 2006 and 2014 respectively. She has also represented India at the World Para Athletics Championships 2023, Paris, and won the Bronze medal at Club Throw. Ravi Kumar Dahiya, also known as Ravi Kumar or Ravi Dahiya, is an Indian freestyle wrestler who won a silver medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 57 kg category. Dahiya is also a bronze medallist from 2019 World Wrestling Championships and a three-time Asian champion. At the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, he won the gold medal in the men's 57kg freestyle wrestling category.

He set a new Paralympic record both times with his throws of 68.55 m and 70.59 m. He is a two-time gold medalist at the World Para Championships. In 2022, Antil not only won the gold medal at the Asian Para Games but also made the para-javelin WR of 73.29 m. He is a six-time world record holder.
Dharambir Nain is an Indian para-athlete from Haryana. He qualified to represent India at the 2024 Summer Paralympics at Paris and won the gold medal in the men's club throw F51 event. He set an Asian record with his throw of 34.92 m.
