Lenvik is a former municipality that was located in the old Troms county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1838 until its dissolution in 2020. The municipality was partly situated on the mainland and partly on the island of Senja in what is now Senja Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county. The administrative centre was the town of Finnsnes, where the Gisund Bridge connects Senja to the mainland on Norwegian County Road 86. Other villages in the municipality included Aglapsvik, Gibostad, Botnhamn, Fjordgård, Finnfjordbotn, Husøy, Langnes, Laukhella, Silsand, and Rossfjordstraumen. The lake Lysvatnet was located in the municipality on Senja island, west of Gibostad.
Senja (Norwegian) or Sážžá (Northern Sami) is an island in Troms county, Norway, Europe. With an area of 1,586.3 square kilometres (612.5 sq mi), it is the second largest island in Norway. It has a wild, mountainous outer (western) side facing the Atlantic, and a mild and lush inner (eastern) side. The island is located within Senja Municipality, which was established on 1 January 2020. The island of Senja had 7,864 inhabitants as of 1 January 2017. Most of the residents live along the eastern coast of the island, with Silsand being the largest urban area on the island. The fishing village of Gryllefjord on the west coast has a summer-only ferry connection to the nearby island of Andøya: the Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry.
Finnsnes is a small town that is the administrative centre of Senja Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The town is located on the mainland part of Norway, just across the Gisundet strait from the island of Senja. The Gisund Bridge connects Finnsnes to the suburban villages of Silsand and Laukhella on the island of Senja. The municipality is well-provided with kindergartens and a decentralized school system on both primary and secondary levels. There are also three schools on the upper secondary/high school level and a center for decentralized studies at the university level. Finnsnes Church is located in the center of the town.
Vangsvik or Vangsvika is a village in Senja Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village has a population of about 350. The village has a school, Vangsvik Chapel, store, and medical office. There is also a large fish farming facility nearby. The Senja Rutebil has its headquarters in Vangsvik. The village was the administrative centre of the old municipality of Tranøy until 1 January 2020 when it was merged into Senja Municipality.
Husøy is a village in Senja Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The village covers the entire island of Husøy which is located in the Øyfjorden off the northwest coast of the large island of Senja. The village/island is located about 53 kilometres (33 mi) southwest of the city of Tromsø. The village of Fjordgård sits about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) across the fjord on the island of Senja.
Vågsfjorden is a fjord in the southern part of Troms county in Norway. The fjord is located between Norway's two largest islands, Hinnøya to the south and Senja to the north. The fjord connects to the Andfjorden and the Tranøyfjorden to the north, and to the Astafjorden and Tjeldsundet to the south. The smaller islands of Grytøya and Sandsøya lie on the western side of the fjord and the islands of Andørja and Rolla lie along the eastern side of the fjord.

Breidtinden (Norwegian) or Reaiddaidčohkka (Northern Sami) is the highest mountain on the island of Senja in Troms county, Norway. It is located in Senja Municipality, southeast of the Mefjorden and southwest of the village of Mefjordbotn. The village of Senjahopen lies about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) northwest of the mountain. The lake Svartholvatnet is located along the southwestern base of the mountain.
Lysvatnet (Norwegian) or Čáhppesjávri (Northern Sami) is a lake in Senja Municipality in Troms county, Norway. The lake lies in the Helvetesdalen valley on the island of Senja. The 6-kilometre (3.7 mi) long lake covers an area of 3.67 square kilometres (1.42 sq mi). The lake lies about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) west of the village of Gibostad.
Nord-Troms District Court was a district court located in the city of Tromsø in Troms county, Norway. The court served the part of the county located north of the Malangen fjord, plus the territory of Svalbard. This included the municipalities of Tromsø, Karlsøy, Balsfjord, Storfjord, Gáivuotna – Kåfjord, Nordreisa, Skjervøy and Kvænangen. The court was subordinate to the Hålogaland Court of Appeal. Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry is an automobile ferry service connecting the islands of Andøya and Senja in Norway. Operated by Troms fylkestrafikk, the crossing between the villages of Andenes in Andøy Municipality and Gryllefjord in Senja Municipality takes 1 hour and 40 minutes. The service is only operated from late May until late August, and it has three crossings per day.
Andfjorden is a fjord on the border of Nordland and Troms counties in Norway. It primarily flows between the large islands of Andøya and Senja. Grytøya and the smaller islands Bjarkøya and Krøttøya are located in the fjord. The main crossing is via the Andenes–Gryllefjord Ferry between Andøy and Senja municipalities. Malangen or Malangsfjorden is a fjord in Troms county, Norway. The 60-kilometre (37 mi) long fjord runs through the municipalities of Balsfjord, Målselv, Senja, and Tromsø. The fjord runs southeast between the islands of Senja and Kvaløya and further into the mainland along the border between Balsfjord and Lenvik municipalities.
Solbergfjorden is a fjord on the southeastern side of the large island of Senja in Troms county, Norway. It lies in the municipalities of Dyrøy, Sørreisa, and Senja. The 27-kilometre (17 mi) long strait flows into the Vågsfjorden to the southwest and into the Finnfjorden and Reisafjorden in the northeast. Vangsvik is one of the larger settlements along the Solbergfjorden.
