Shell Aircraft International, based at Rotterdam The Hague Airport, operates aircraft for Royal Dutch Shell headquarters and for one Shell group operating company, Shell Oil Company in the United States. It also provides advice on air operations and flight standards to Shell group companies.

Prior to 2000, Shell Aircraft Limited operated corporate jets for Shell group headquarters, and Shell Oil and Shell Canada operated their aircraft independently. In 2000 the three operations were linked in Shell Aircraft International, whose first CEO was Brian Humphries.

On 4 October 2013 the operation of Shell Canada was closed down and all operations were contracted out to Flair Airlines Ltd. [2]

The ICAO telephony designator (Callsign) changed from SHELL to PECTEN in the Edition 201 of the ICAO DOC 8585 Edition 201, published July 2022, however the three-letter designator remained SHE. [3]

Shell Aircraft International also works with Brunei Shell Petroleum, the Shell group's Brunei operating company (a 50-50 joint venture with the Brunei Government), [4] which operates 3 × Sikorsky S-92 [5] with 2 × AgustaWestland AW139 Brunei Shell Petroleum is the only Shell operating company to operate its own helicopters: elsewhere, helicopter operations are contracted out to companies such as Bristow Helicopters. [6]

Schreiner Airways Defunct airline of the Netherlands, 1945–2005

Schreiner Airways was a charter, passenger and cargo airline based in the Netherlands.

ExpressJet Airlines was a regional U.S. airline headquartered in College Park, Georgia. The company originally operated as a contracted codeshare partner, flying under the American Eagle, Delta Connection and United Express brands at various points in history. In September 2020, it exited that longstanding position in the fee-for-departure airline market and temporarily ceased all flying after the conclusion of a contract with its sole remaining mainline partner United Airlines. In September 2021, ExpressJet resumed operations as both an air charter provider and a regional airline under its own brand aha!—short for "Air-Hotel-Adventure." The brand's route structure focused on the West Coast of the United States with a hub at Reno-Tahoe International Airport, and scheduled flights began on October 24, 2021. The airline, including its brand aha! filed for bankruptcy on August 23, 2022 and ceased all operations.

Evergreen International Aviation, Inc. was a global aviation services company based in McMinnville, Oregon, United States. Founded in 1960, Evergreen was primarily known publicly for commercial helicopter operations in agricultural and forestry applications.

Canadian Helicopters Canadian air service company

Canadian Helicopters Limited, formerly a part of the Canadian operations of CHC Helicopter Corporation, operates 112 aircraft from 26 bases across Canada and provides a broad range of helicopter services to support the following activities: emergency medical evacuation; infrastructure maintenance; utilities; oil and gas; forestry; mining; construction; and air transportation. Utair is a Russian airline with its head office at Khanty-Mansiysk Airport while its hubs are at Surgut International Airport and Vnukovo International Airport. It operates scheduled domestic and some international passenger services, scheduled helicopter services, and extensive charter flights with fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters in support of the oil and gas industry across western Siberia.

Lufttransport

Lufttransport is a Norwegian helicopter and fixed-wing airline that operates primarily air ambulance helicopters and planes for the Norwegian and Swedish governments. In addition the airline offers services including surveillance for the Norwegian Coast Guard, transport of ship pilots and scheduled air transport in the Norwegian territory of Svalbard.

Líder Aviação is a Brazilian airline specialising in air charter, aircraft sales and aircraft maintenance. Its main base is in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, where it has a presence at both airports. Petroleum Air Services (PAS) is an airline based in Cairo, Egypt. It operates helicopter services to support the oil industry. The airline also operates commercial passenger services within Egypt and to regional cities. Its main base is Cairo International Airport.

Bristow Helicopters Limited is a British civil helicopter operator originally based at Aberdeen Airport, Scotland, which is currently a part of the U.S.-based Bristow Group which in turn has its corporate headquarters in Houston, Texas, U.S. In 2020, Bristow Group was merged with Era Helicopters, a large U.S.-based commercial helicopter operator that was previously a division of Era Aviation, with the two companies then continuing to use the Bristow name.

Anduki Airfield Airfield in Brunei

Anduki Airfield is a domestic airfield and heliport located in Seria, a town in the Belait District of Brunei Darussalam. It is operated by Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), and uses Sikorsky S-92 and AgustaWestland AW139 helicopters in support of servicing offshore oil platforms. Brunei Shell Petroleum replaced the grass airstrip with a sealed instrument runway in 2008. Future upgrades include the addition of runway lighting, and an enhanced instrument approach procedure.

Bond Aviation Group was a British helicopter operator based at Gloucestershire Airport, Staverton. It was purchased by Babcock International in 2014. It incorporated Bond Air Services, now renamed Babcock Mission Critical Services Onshore, and Bond Offshore Helicopters, now renamed Babcock Mission Critical Services Offshore.

Helicopters (NZ)

Helicopters New Zealand or HNZ was a New Zealand-based helicopter operator serving the oil and gas, EMS and government markets. Operating a mix of light and medium turbine-engined helicopters, it performed helicopter transport and air work for a number of private and government clients across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Antarctica.
