Etymology

The specific name, lamari, is in honor of American herpetologist William Wylly Lamar. [2]

Geographic range

S. lamari is found in Costa Rica and Panama. [3]

Habitat

The preferred natural habitat of S. lamari is forest, at altitudes of 5–650 m (16–2,133 ft). [1]

Behavior

S. lamari is arboreal. [1] [3]

Diet

S. lamari preys upon snails. [1]

Reproduction

S. lamari is oviparous. [3]
