Sidhant Mohapatra (born 4 May 1966 [3] ), popularly known as Munna Bhai, is an Indian actor and politician who appears predominantly in Odia cinema ,also Appeared in Telugu and Tamil Films .He has been featured in Forbes India 's Celebrity 100 list based on his income. [4] Referred to worldwide by his fans as Dynamic Superstar [5] [6] for his Versatility in acting and comedy action.Siddhanta has acted in more than 200 movies with most of them (180) being lead roles.Two-time National Award Winner First Odia-Tamil Movie Historical-Sci-Fi Kotiye Re Gotiye (2000) in Positive role and National Award as Negative Role for Swayamsiddha (2010).He has won numerous awards, including only actor to win 7 Odisha State Film Awards back-to-back, during 2000–2006, including five Filmfare Awards East awards.He has produced distributed 120 movies under his venture Omm Divya Vision Home Motion Picture, which was founded in 1992, in association with actress Divya.

Early and personal life

Mohapatra was born as Gyana Ranjan Mohapatra in Brahmapur, Odisha to Kanak and Manmohan Mohapatra. He completed his early education at St. Vincent's Convent School, Brahmapur and his higher secondary and graduation in commerce from Dharanidhar Autonomous College, Keonjhar. Mohapatra completed his PGDM from Institute of Marketing and Management in New Delhi in 1989. [3]

Acting

His debut film Sradhanjali was made in 1992.

Politics

He joined Biju Janata Dal in 2009 and successfully contested Berhampur constituency in the 2009 15th Lok Sabha election. Mohapatra was reelected in the 2014 general election by a margin of nearly 100,000 votes. However, he did not contest the constituency for a third term. [7] [8] [9]
