Siphokazi Mani-Lusithi (born 19 July 1986) is a South African politician,currently a member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature for the African National Congress,and the current Member of the Executive Council (MEC) responsible for Public Works and Human Settlements in the Eastern Cape provincial government. Mani-Lusithi previously served as the MEC for the Social Development and Human Settlements portfolios.
Mani-Lusithi was born on 19 July 1986 in Steynsburg in the former Cape Province. She matriculated from Lawson Brown High School in Port Elizabeth in 2003. She studied at the University of Port Elizabeth and the University of Fort Hare. [1] She is currently[ when? ] studying for a Bachelor of Administration degree from the University of South Africa. Mani-Lusithi was involved in the African National Congress Youth League,the Young Communist League of South Africa,and student politics. [1] She served as the provincial treasurer of the ANC youth league in the Eastern Cape and as the provincial chairperson of the South African Student Congress. She was also a member of the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the Young Communist League of South Africa. [1]
Mani-Lusithi worked as a provincial manager on conferencing and electoral matters in the ANC provincial office. She was also a coordinator of an ANC PEC sub-committee. Prior to her election to the provincial legislature,Mani-Lusithi was an HR practitioner at the ANC Caucus Office at the provincial legislature. [1]
In July 2023,Mani-Lusithi was elected provincial secretary of the African National Congress Women's League. [2]
Mani-Lusithi was elected to the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature in the 2019 Eastern Cape provincial election. [3] She was then appointed Member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Social Development by the newly elected premier,Oscar Mabuyane. [4]
On 16 August 2022,Mani-Lusithi was appointed as the MEC for Human Settlements. [5] Following the 2024 general election,the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure was merged with the Department of Human Settlements;Mani-Lusithi was appointed MEC for the newly established department. [6]

Gerald Mlungisi Mvoko is a South African businessman and politician who was elected deputy provincial chairperson of the African National Congress in the Eastern Cape in October 2017. He became the member of the Executive Council (MEC) for Human Settlements in May 2018 before being moved to the Education portfolio in November of the same year. Fundile David Gade is a South African educator and politician serving as the Eastern Cape MEC for Education since May 2019. He has been a Member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature for the African National Congress since May 2014. Gade had previously served as the chairperson of the legislature's Portfolio Committee on Education and as the chief whip of the ANC caucus.

Nonceba Kontsiwe is a South African politician and a veteran African National Congress (ANC) member of the Eastern Cape Provincial Legislature. On 9 March 2021,Kontsiwe was appointed as the Member of the Executive Council (MEC) responsible for Human Settlements by premier Oscar Mabuyane. During a cabinet reshuffle on 16 August 2022,Kontsiwe was appointed as the MEC for Sports,Recreation,Arts and Culture. She was appointed MEC for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform after the 2024 general election.

She previously served as the MEC for Human Settlements from 2019 to 2021 and then as the MEC for Rural Development and Agrarian Reform from 2021 until 2024. Pieters served as the speaker of the Cacadu District Municipality from 2006 to 2018.
