Club history
The club is historically linked to the Sirocco Engineering Works located on the east bank of the River Lagan in Belfast. Established in 1881, the company was one of the leading makers of rope in the world before focusing on the tea industry and supplying the local Harland and Wolff shipyards. It was one of the biggest employers in Belfast and from this spawned the Sirocco Works Football Club.
The club joined the Amateur League in 1924 and is the longest-serving member of that league, in unbroken membership ever since. [1] It originally played its home games in Castlereagh, before moving to Warnock Park in the 1950s and the Dixon Park, Belfast. [2] The success of the football club mirrored that of the engineering firm with the majority of the club's trophies won in the 1930s and 40s. From 1934 up to 1940 the club won six back-to-back league titles and numerous cups. The 1938/39 season saw the club claim four honours including the league title, Border Regiment Cup and Clarence Mayes Cup. But the most important of which was their Steel and Sons Cup victory as they became the first amateur side to lift this prestigious trophy.
The times following World War II saw the decline of industry in Belfast. Similarly the football club started to struggle in the League. By 1960 the club picked up their last notable honour for the next 20 years, an appearance in the final of the Border Cup. In 1999 came the death knell for the Sirocco Engineering Works as the site was closed to be redeveloped.
Despite the closure of the parent Sirocco engineering plant board members of the football club decided to continue under the Sirocco name.
Recently the club has seen a return to winning ways by winning Division 1B in 2007–08.
Most recently Sirocco won promotion back to 1A in 2016/17 and have been runners up in the 2017/18 Clarence Cup Final and 2018/19 Steel & Sons Cup Final.
Albert Foundry Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate football club from Belfast playing in Division 1A of the Northern Amateur Football League. Its home ground Paisley Park on the West Circular Road. As well as the first team, there is a second team playing in the NAFL Division 3A and an under-18's team playing in the North Down Youth League.
Barn United Football Club is a Northern Ireland, intermediate football club from Carrickfergus, Northern Ireland playing in Division 1B of the Northern Amateur Football League. They play their home games at Haslett Park, next door to their local rivals Carrick Rangers. The current club formed in 1954 taking its name from an earlier team, Barn, which played in the Irish League from 1923–1928. As well as Barn's first XI, they field a second team in the Amateur League Division 3B and several youth teams in the East Antrim Youth League.
Killyleagh Youth Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate-level football club based in Killyleagh, near Downpatrick, playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club was formed in 1960, playing in the South Belfast Youth League for one season before joining the Amateur League in 1961. Intermediate status was achieved in 1963. They play their home matches at the Showgrounds in Killyleagh. Perhaps their biggest achievement of recent times was when they reached the semi-final of the Irish Cup in 2002, losing 4–0 to Linfield. . They became the first team in the modern era to win the Amateur League's Premier Section title for six seasons in a row between 1999 and 2005, under the managership of Dee Heron.
Knockbreda Football Club is a semi-professional, Northern Irish football club playing in the NIFL Championship. They hail from Belfast and play their home matches at Breda Park, on the Upper Braniel Road located in the east of the city. The club was formed after the Second World War, c. 1947. and played in the Irish Churches' League before joining the Northern Amateur Football League in 1989. Intermediate status was achieved on promotion to Division 1B in 1997. In 2009, the club was admitted to the IFA Championship
Nortel Football Club are a Northern Irish football club, based in Monkstown, Newtownabbey and playing latterly in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League (NAFL). The club withdrew from the league in 2016 but returned to Division 2C for the following season.
The Northern Amateur Football League, also known as the Northern Amateur League and often simply as the Amateur League, is an association football league in Northern Ireland. It contains 13 divisions. These comprise four intermediate sections: the Premier Division, Division 1A, Division 1B and Division 1C; three junior sections: Division 2A, Division 2B and Division 2C; and six reserve sections.
1st Bangor Old Boys Football Club, also known as 1st Bangor O.B., is a Northern Irish, intermediate football club playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League.
Abbey Villa Football Club is a Northern Irish intermediate football club currently playing in Division 1A of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club was formed in 1955 as Millisle United. The team currently play their home matches at Adams Park on Abbey Road, Millisle. Under the management of Jonathan Busby, Villa field three adult men's teams. As well as the first team, there is a second team playing in the NAFL Division 3C, third team in the Down Area League Division 1a and a fourth team in third team in the Down Area League Division 2A. They also have a strong youth system with over a dozen teams and very dedicated team of youth coaches.
Ards Rangers Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate football club playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club was formed in 1949 and plays at Drome Park, Newtownards. Ards Rangers were admitted into the Amateur League in 1962. Their former manager was Lee Forsythe, who was the Young Northern Ireland manager of the Year (2009). The current side is managed by Jackie Kerr.
Crumlin United Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate football club playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club is based in Crumlin, County Antrim, was founded in 1968 and played in the Lisburn League, Ballymena Premier League and Dunmurry League before joining the Amateur League in 1986. In 1990, intermediate status was achieved.
Dromara Village Football Club is a Northern Irish intermediate football club based in Dromara who currently play in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club has three senior teams playing in the Amateur League and the Newcastle and District League, and one under-17 youth team competing in the Lisburn Invitational League. The club joined the Newcastle and District League in 1976, and gained intermediate status upon entry to Division 1C of the Amateur League in 1986. The biggest achievement for the club in recent years was promotion to the Premier Division of the Amateur Premier League at the end of the 2007–08 season. In latter history one of the big highlights for the club was reaching the Steel & Sons cup final in 1996 when the Villagers were narrowly defeated in a cup final replay, having drawn the first tie against Ballymena United Reserves. Dromara returned to the amateur Premier Division after a record breaking 2022-23 season which saw them promoted as 1A champions.

Saintfield United Football Club is a Northern Irish intermediate football club based in Saintfield, County Down, Northern Ireland playing in Division 1C of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club started in the Newcastle & District League before joining the Amateur League junior section in 1986. Intermediate status was attained in 1987.
Short Brothers Football Club, often referred to simply as Shorts is a Northern Irish intermediate football club playing in Division 1C of the Northern Amateur Football League. It is connected to the Short Brothers aerospace manufacturing company in Belfast and was formed with the arrival of the company to the city in the 1930s. The club - originally known as Aircraft Works - joined the Amateur League in 1937 and is the second-oldest member club with continual membership.
Shankill United Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate football club playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. They play their home matches at the Hammer pitch on Agnes Street in the Shankill area of Belfast although for the 2012–13 season they relocated to the Inverary Park ground in the east of the city. The club was founded in 1971 as Harland & Wolff Rec., changing its name to Harland & Wolff Sports in 1984. In 2007, it adopted its present name.
Lisburn Rangers Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate-level association football club based in Lisburn and playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club has been a member of the Amateur League since 1963.
Bryansburn Rangers Football Club is a Northern Irish, intermediate football club playing in Division 1B of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club are from Bangor, County Down and play their home matches at Ballywooley Park on the Crawfordsburn Road. The club was founded in 1974 and joined the Amateur League in 1984.
Grove United Football Club is a Northern Irish intermediate football club playing in Division 1A of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club hails from north Belfast and began life as the 40thOld Boys, and was also known as Jennymount, changing its name in 1985. The club has enjoyed intermediate status since 1997. They are based at the Shore Road playing fields in the Greencastle suburb, a ground they share with Malachians.
Derriaghy Cricket Club Football Club, often simply known as Derriaghy CC or Derriaghy Cricket Club, is a Northern Irish intermediate-level football club playing in the Premier Division of the Northern Amateur Football League. The club is based in Derriaghy, County Antrim, was formed in 1982 when the long-established Derriaghy Cricket Club decided to add a football section. It joined the Lisburn League before entering the Amateur League in 1987. Its home ground is Seycon Park in Derriaghy. The club also has a 2nd XI in Division 3B of the NAFL and an under-14 youth team.

They Currently have 2 teams, the 1st playing in 2B and the 2nds playing in 3F. The club is connected to the Northern Ireland Civil Service. The club previously had intermediate status and played in the Irish Cup. It joined the Amateur League in 1951.
